really funny to see the revisionism that takes place once an author gets exposed for being a terrible person because all of a sudden it becomes general consensus for some reason that their works were never good and anyone who read them was an idiot.

honestly i'm this close to quitting reading for good. every single author i actually love turns out to be problematic or worse. i'm so tired of finding out after i already got attached. feels like i can't enjoy anything anymore without a background check first

Revisiting atla especially as an adult is hilarious cause you see all this discourse surrounding the supposed “maturity gap” between Katara & Aang and then you watch the show and they’re literally both just. Children. Who act like children despite having to grow up early.
