The 18z DVN and DTZ (well North of the front) show a pretty stout EML advecting into the region. The western edge of the enhanced area will likely not be able to convect, except right on the front, given the capping in place. A conditional tornado threat may develop further east.

The Cap is getting weaker in western Indiana and also looks like our low level shear is improving. The SPC also mentioned better moisture in southern Indiana being adverted into central Indiana this evening! Not saying it’s going to be a tornado fest😂

Any persistent supercell that remains in the warm sector will pose an all-hazards risk, with elevated storms north of the front posing a very large hail risk.

I’m calling off my chase. I’m pretty confident that it will just end up being a wall of very large hail producing supercells across NE Indiana and NW Ohio. I am NOT willing to sacrifice my windshield for a conditional tornado risk like this. Good luck out there.
