@landofthe80s There's interesting history to this. It was pieced together from a 3-year old Japanese cartoon, Gatchaman and they added the R2D2 looking robot to make it more like Star Wars (which just came out) and to waste time for US TV show run length. I loved this as a kid.

@iupdate Several years ago, PC equipment would outlast more expensive Apple products by a factor of 3 times. I've never been able to justify something more expensive to last a lesser amount of time, especially when I could improve my skill set by learning to use cheaper equipment longer.
