@housesarebig For me a growing Riftbound trend is top meta decks aren’t just really strong, they are just an awful play experience to play against. To a point where I worry it will start driving away players. I know I was ready to quit a NN when I played 3 Viktor players in a row.

@the_Bradster007 Feel for you, but theatres genuinely suck. Y'all offered beer, then charged 10 bucks for it. Went with friends, but my total bill was 40 bucks for a single movie. Quit and encourage others to do the same so that theatres die.

For those that don’t know, I am one of the managers at my local movie theater. Lately I’ve been having a rough time and even considering leaving my job because of how stressful it’s been. But with the last few days of Mario, I have seen so many families and kids coming in, so excited to see this movie and just to be happy to be in a theater that it has literally rejuvenated my passion and brought joy back into my work.

With the new core rules update, you can no longer unattach and reattach using Jax Legend's ability on a unit to gain an effect. This means the interaction with Jax Legend & Aphelios is no longer legal and will NOT allow you to ready 2 runes, buff a unit or channel a rune.

@Challengertcg this is my new Yirora list (set 3). PS Rengar is Crazy with Yi cuz your opponent goes to take battlefield (initiating showdown, therefore the attacker) and so you can play a rengar on the battlefield and be a solo defender. P.S.: Villionaire, I would love to do a deck tech with you!

@MegaMogwai 2. This game ain’t cheap. If I dropped a good amount money on getting cards to build a strong deck, like Aurora or Baited Hook, that then got banned, I’d be so pissed to the point where I might just drop the game forever.

I disagree. It's set 2. Going crazy with bans now would have a very negative impact on the game as a whole. Long post incoming: If a ban must happen, it should be something minimal. I'm not a veteran riftbound player by any means, but in my humble opinion we are not in a hyper oppressive meta. Is the game perfectly balanced? Absolutely not. There is a clear color imbalance, but I'll bring my 2 decade experience in card games to the table here and say that said imbalance could be worse, A LOT worse. Right now, purple reigns. There's no debating that. But if you look into the decks, you'll realize they differ more than you'd initially think. Draven is successful, with or without called shot. I see many top players state how miracle draven is by far the superior vesion, but the results do not back this claim. Vegas was won by a classic midrange, which defeated the miracle deck in the finals. Irelia does not play called shot, in fact the key aspects that make the deck as powerful mostly stem from green, mainly stellacorn. Ezreal is ultimately a different variation of miracle, yet offers a very different approach, reactive instead of proactive like Draven. Kai'sa is still strong, not quite at the level of the big three. Viktor is also at this level. Champions like Jax are a lot stronger than many claim and I do have some hot takes on Ahri being very underrated but I'll keep that to myself, since I do not have the sample size nor personal experience to back them up yet. We are leading into the final month of the set, and while it is pretty much undeniable that Draven is the best legend in the game, he is far from invincible. Purple color combinations stand above the others, but this gap is, in my opinion, a tad exaggerated by a strong chunk of the playerbase parroting what several top players state as absolute facts. And here's the thing, they are not absolute facts. I know this will rub some people the wrong way, but no one player has a perfect vision of the game right now. And I do feel like a lot of players have locked in to a certain belief that against miracle draven there's just nothing you can do, which is NOT the case. If they banned called shot, I won't mind one bit. If they don't... I'm personally ok with that as well. I think there's still one more month in which players could attempt to find ways to adjust some lesser ranked legends against the meta. And hey, its likely the kings (and queens) won't be dethroned, but I do not believe, from my limited experience of course, that we are in an environment where Draven decks deny other legends from being able to compete. In fact I argue the most oppressive deck in the meta as of now is actually Irelia. But I do not wish for her to be nerfed either. This is my take. I could be wrong, a lot will probably disagree, but this is how I genuinely see things as of now. Set 3 will most definitely shake things up, and perhaps then some bans will actually need to happen due to the card pool increasing.
