Jason’s mother, who declined to have criminal charges filed, instead hired a civil lawyer and demanded millions from Michael Jackson. She and her son received a settlement of $2.4 million from Jackson and signed an agreement stating that the settlement was not an admission of guilt, but was to avoid bad publicity and another 1993 scandal. According to a reporter name William Wagner, about a year before the trial, Jason Francia came to his house along with William’s son. At the time, William had no idea who Jason Francia was. According to William, Jason bragged about his mother working at Neverland and when William would ask him questions about Michael Jackson, Jason would suddenly clam up and refuse to go into detail presumedly because of the court’s gag order. However, according to William, nothing negative was said about Jackson by Francia and that he glowingly talked about he and his mother’s experiences at Neverland. Had he been molested and traumatized by Jackson as he told the jury, than one would assume that while not directly talking about the alleged abuse, his feelings towards Jackson and his home Neverland would be negative. Jason’s mother Blanca Francia was a former maid of Jackson’s who was terminated and who sold false stories about Jackson and young boys to tabloids, as well as pictures of her son.
