Founded on New Year’s Day 1896, we hold a unique place in golf history as England’s only ladies-only membership club with its own course. While our membership remains exclusive to women, we proudly welcome golfers of all genders to play our historic links.

Sunrise over pristine surfaces, weaving through brown heather that will burst into purple come August. With eyes on Royal Birkdale and Royal Lytham & St Annes this summer, both just a short drive away, we’re proud to be part of a special season for golf in the North West.

Our stunning 4th, 5th and 6th holes. There are definitely worse places to spend a Friday than on our challenging heathland-links., even in winter.

The final challenge on the course - our 18th with Formby's clubhouse framing the green - followed by an even tougher one in our clubhouse to the left: saying no to one of our delicious cakes.

Set along the Sefton Coast, our course lies within a recognised Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). We take genuine pride in protecting our ecosystem, proven by our Ecological Project of the Year award in 2025.
