I think many Jewish organisations and advocates are their own worst enemies, especially when they seek unprincipled exceptions, or to restrict people’s freedom of speech & thereby thought. Or when they push partisan political imperatives under the banner of Jewishness writ large. However, I’ve found that often their opponents operate in such ridiculous bad faith, and are so egregious in their misrepresentations and distortions of fact, that I wind up on the side of people with whom I don’t even agree necessarily, simply because their opponents are so unhinged. Its really aggravating because any legitimate issues one has with those unprincipled exceptions, any legitimate concerns one has over eg. Jewish legislative associations mobilising to smear excellent nominees to Trump’s admin as antisemites, they all get drowned in the toxic retardation of a bunch of deranged retards, who make functional reckoning with anything impossible. The great irony is that the people most opposed to “organised Jewish power” are so comically unreasonable and mentally ill, that nobody with a brain can take them seriously, and the whole thing ends up in everyone battening down the hatches and increased hate speech laws and speech codes and other such nanny state bullshit restricting our capacity to relate to one another and self govern like adults. It’s all so fucking retarded and tiresome. Feels like living in a pre-school.
