@F1 @LewisHamilton It’s an absolute disgrace that you can drive into your direct rival in 280km/h corner, putting him at a huge risk, and you’re then allowed to still win the race and gain 25 points on him. Taking your opponent out pays off. Ridiculous penalty by the stewards.

@F1_driven Then there may be a very small effect of the minor tweaks they have made. But we were going to see a much closer field regardless, and have no clue which teams the tweaks favor. Racing already feels a lot better though

@F1_driven I know you just want to create replies to earn money but I’ll bite. Firstly all teams except Merc have brought massive upgrades, changing the pecking order regardless of the changes. Secondly this track suits these type of cars much better (energy wise) levelling playing field.

It's insane to me that they changed the rules because of certain teams complaining and now we've just immediately returned to the same list of drivers/teams who were previously dominating? Is that not a bit weird or suspect? Was it really that easy?

@Mackorous @cytrusf1 Ah interesting, thanks! Still the thicker side structures (not sure about the exact name) should face the same problem right?

@Formula1Talkz @cytrusf1 Behind the inlet makes little to no difference because it creates an area of low pressure which means air is sucked into the area behind the inlet, there’s actually a possibility that more air hits that area cause the air would be moving faster due to lower pressure.

@mattamys It is a lot better, but this track is also suiting these cars better in terms of energy profile. The race and quali finally feel more normal for the fans. Question is still what is causing it: track or rule changes (probably a combination)

Seems like the changes during the April break has worked imo Less “battery boost” overtakes and more traditional racing to what we’re used to, well at least for the Miami Sprint race at least! What do you think?

@Josefkisalive26 @fastpitstop Also they litterally changed the rules this weekend and it was already closer to proper racing (although it could still be the track that is energy rich too)

@fastpitstop Oh my god, he was literally criticizing the regs in 2023 when he was dominating and he was already wary of the 2026 regs a few years ago too.

Starting to wonder if the engine changes, whilst less "artificial" and more twitter-mob friendly, has just made overtaking even harder now cause they essentially have more energy to work with... Time for people to accept you NEED overtaking gimmicks. Pick your poison

@Mackorous @cytrusf1 Middle mounting actuator for RBR is behind the central engine inlet, and Ferrari will have thicker side-structure in rear wing which gives it extra drag too

@cytrusf1 To get rid of the middle mounted actuator to allow better flow over the wing, they didn’t complicate it they simply did it better.

@SCUDERIAFEMBOY Max seems to ignore the fact that the team built a completely new car, with a new engine and everything, he cant expect that car to give him wins from day one. @Max33Verstappen Needs to wake up and show respect to the team.

According to The Race, Max Verstappen is under contract with Red Bull until the end of 2028 — but he has exit clauses that allow him to leave depending on the team’s competitiveness. Last year, Verstappen could have exited if he was outside the top three in the drivers’ championship by the summer break. For 2026, however, the clause is understood to be stricter. If Verstappen is not inside the top two by a specified point in the season, he is free to leave. This condition is likely tied to the 2026 regulations, giving him the option to pursue a more competitive seat for 2027. Additionally, Verstappen is not required to inform Red Bull of his decision until October, giving him ample time to assess both the team’s progress and the impact of Formula 1’s new regulations. A comment on this. Firstly, that isn't Max in the photo. Secondly, somehow using this to make out Max is the face of Motorsport is ridiculous. If any of the Top F1 drivers did races like this, they would attract this attention.

This weekend's Shanghai scoring (Red Bull with just 4 pts across sprint + GP, vs Mercedes 55, Ferrari 40) highlights their drop-off. After dominating 2022-24 and struggling in 2025, the 2026 regs have reset the field—Mercedes leads early standings with Russell/Antonelli 1-2. Early season, but the dominance is clearly fading for now.

there's far too many spending too much time shitting on Wache, here are some of the more realistic things that are often not talked about. -Red Bull was the team that went deep into 2025 to develop the car, once you do that, there are consequences, we're looking at the consequences right now -It was the same team that built a car that was the fastest in the second half of 2025. If you're expecting every team to be perfect every time they're participating you've completely dropped the ball on understanding what the sport is essentially And for people claiming "nobody wants Wache on the grid" In the last few years, he has been approached by teams like Ferrari, McLaren, Alpine and probably a few others, He showed loyalty to Red Bull and signed an extension when everyone was leaving..... sometimes, you have to take a step back to understand how a sport like F1 works and pinpointing blame is why some teams(Ferrari) don't win for decades
RBR Daily@RBR_Daily

Chris Medland via F1TV: "I sent a text to some people at Red Bull asking where the pace had gone. They replied, 'We were never fast.' They're having issues with medium-speed corners. The entire first and second sectors. The engine isn't the problem." [@redbullf1france]

🚨 MAX VERSTAPPEN LAUNCHES SCATHING CRITIQUE OF F1'S FUTURE REGS. 👉 "They will ruin the sport." The Red Bull champion is in direct talks with F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali after retiring in China. He argues the 2026 rules favor certain teams and create poor racing.

@northen225 @MattP1Gallagher Yeah I get it, but it is kinda unavoidable as there is usually one best team, like McLaren had the best car by a country mile last season. What they can and should improve are the cars/regs and themselves

@MattP1Gallagher It was better then last week, with great racing between the Ferrari’s, but still feels very Mario Kart at times. Seems there is more space to fight, but the battery makes every overtake feel very cheap/low value/less important.
