While this was not the outcome we hoped for, I want to thank every voter, volunteer, and supporter who believed in this campaign and gave it everything they had.
This race was powered by hardworking people across Northwest Ohio who stepped up, knocked doors, made calls, and fought for a better future for OH-09.
I’m incredibly proud of the campaign we ran, reaching every corner of this district, from inner-city Toledo to rural towns like Hicksville.
We showed that there is real energy and a real desire for change across OH-09. Thank you to everyone who stood with us and believed in me, a former homeless high school dropout.
Your support is proof that the American Dream is still alive and well, and worth fighting for every single day.

Hold the filibuster vote @LeaderJohnThune. Do a role-call vote so we can know the names of which senators don't really want to pass the SAVE America Act and reform (dramatically reduce) LEGAL immigration.
If it's 4 holdouts, we want to know.
If it's 20, we want to know that too.

We reported in April that WH officials James Braid & James Blair have been meeting privately with GOP senators in recent months to develop their own whip list on nuking the filibuster. punchbowl.news/article/house/… Trump keeps saying it’s just a handful of R’s standing in the way, but Thune has said the real number is “not even close” to that (much higher). Implication here is that Trump knows full well it’s a lot more than just a handful — because his own staffers have done a whip count. Safe to say that holding a doomed-to-fail vote on nuking the filibuster, which would expose GOP divisions close to the election, is not something Thune believes is productive.
