It's St George's Day in England so all the usual far right types are busy humping the flag today.
Just some context though: St George was born in what is now Türkiye and later lived in Palestine.
So all those patriots are celebrating a foreigner who, if he were alive today, they would subject to racist abuse and ban from the country.

St George is some ways is as English as they come. He is our flag and our patron.
Yet, he was born somewhere else. Lived somewhere else. He wasn’t white, yet he has become part of our culture and tradition.
This is what it means to be English. We learn, we embrace, we developed and evolve together.
