Matt Damon reveals what it feels like to realize a movie is going to flop a month into filming.
Matt Damon: "Ultimately, the big decision is saying yes."
Ben Affleck: "That's the last point at which you have total control."
Matt Damon: "Right. And then you're in, whether it's good or bad. I've been on those movies where I knew a month into a six-month shoot that this is not going to work."
Ben Affleck: "What's that like?"
Matt Damon: "That is the fucking worst. It's going to be 80 16-hour days in a row, a post-production period that's going to be pretty fraught, and then it's going to come out and we're going to get fucking crushed."
Ben Affleck: "And then you're going to have to sell it. You're going to have to walk the fucking plank and sit down with Access like, 'So, saw the movie...'"
Matt Damon: "It's really terrible."
