Belly dancing has roots in ancient fertility and religious rituals, tracing its origins from early Egypt. This lovely Egyptian mau shows off her Tyrian purple clothing, sporting a rare pigment that was highly prized by Ptolemaic Egyptian rulers like Cleopatra. @Saiyonara10

@pixelbouncer It sometimes comes down to 'ai is slop and has no soul' vs 'your art probably isn't all that good to begin with'. The wise learn that the latter is usually true.

AI art is ART ! --------------------------- I am not asking for your permission. I won’t water this down with ‘but it’s just a tool.’ Let me be clear: The machine dreams, ‘triggered’ by me, and those dreams are art. If that shatters your ‘human soul’ narrative—so much the better. Art has always been about pushing boundaries. Now the boundaries are code and consciousness. Cry about it. Or create with it. Your choice. #AIArtIsArt @DOD_the_OG @ToshiArte @Julianc_AI @schizsho @youseememiami @icreatelife @muriellondon

If it sells, there’s obviously a market for it. And yes, it does sell. If all one does and aspires to do with AI is generate a bunch of crap gens, that’s on them. Almost all of my peers are obsessed with detail, and spends hours or days on one piece to get it just right, to be what they envisioned. And they learn things like editing, video, compiling different medias into a cohesive product. For us, it’s not just “type prompt, get image”.

Seriously though, why is there something borderline psychoactive about this specific set of motifs? Why pools? Why no windows? Why the pastel colours? It feels suspiciously like an arbitrary code execution exploit on the human mind.

@locdasmoke @priestessofdada @suno Most of the ones who are going after fellow creatives for using AI are more than likely just exploiting the ragebait algo for clout. Their bad faith discussions are not even worth the time of day, honestly.

Exactly. I’ve been making music since I was a teenager, long before AI existed. I’ve recorded in real studios, worked with producers, performed, released albums, built labels, and spent decades writing lyrics and creating concepts. AI didn’t suddenly make me “become creative.” That was already there. What AI did was open new doors creatively. It let me experiment with visuals, comics, cinematic storytelling, and even hear ideas come to life faster. But the important part is this: I still care about the process. I still rewrite, refine, build lore, structure worlds, and obsess over details. People who think AI is just “push button = masterpiece” usually haven’t actually spent serious time creating with it. Real creators will always go deeper. We’ll make things more complex, more personal, more layered, because the joy comes from creating itself. And honestly, if AI inspires someone to learn music, storytelling, design, animation, or even pick up real instruments, how is that anti-art? That sounds like art evolving to me. The tools change. The creative impulse doesn’t.

I really have to wonder where opinions like this come from. I've been making art all my life, and AI was never anything more than a new medium to experiment with for me. Music was a different story. Before @suno I hadn't ever tried seriously to create music, unless you count high school. But that was more talking about starting a band than actually being in one. My experience there was that I got to experience my songs coming to life, so I taught myself how to play... now, six different musical instruments. I don't think the simple fact of AI eroded my ability to do anything. The only way something like that is going to be problem, is if you don't care about the process to begin with. If all you're interested in is the final product, then AI will get you there. But AI isn't the easiest or lowest effort artform. If all you care about is the final product there are other low impact ways to get there. Character builders like iClone and Vroid come to mind. Simple shit, my friend. Real artists love the journey. They are not hindered by simple or complex something is to do. In fact, they'll make everything harder, and more complicated, even AI because it's the act of creating that's the important thing. The part that satisfies the unquenchable impulse to create. Well, you're either born with that one or you're not. And if you don't get it, I can't explain it to you. Gatekeeping by means of process is the single most anti-artistic art hating thing you could possibly. Real artists want more people to make more art in more ways, even as yet undiscovered ones. You should try being a real artist, sometime, John.

Trying a softer Anthro Allure art style today. Warm sunset, elegant furry portrait, cozy fantasy glow. I’m considering this direction for future SFW commission-style pieces. Would you commission your OC in this style? 🐺✨ #FurryArt #AnthroArt

@chata_AIart The countryside is a place I dream of settling into one day. Growing one's own food is so much better than the store-bought stuff. Give me some cucumbers, squash, tomatoes and onions and I'm set.
