On the off chance that anybody from the Trump administration is reading this, may I offer a suggestion? It would be child’s play to revitalize the US auto industry, set off a huge hiring boom for factory workers, and double or triple the cheering crowds that show up the next time the Orange One holds a rally. All you have to do is get rid of the forest of regulations that keep small to midsized American companies from getting into the auto business and manufacturing the kind of cars people want to drive, which not surprisingly are the kind they drove half a century ago, unburdened with onboard computers and the rest of the garbage with which “progress” has weighed down today’s cars. Yes, I know, those regulations have all sorts of excuses justifying them—safety, environmental concerns, you name it—but the real point of every one of them is to keep auto manufacturing a closed oligopoly in which big car manufacturers can ignore what buyers want. Prune those regulations, and let the market do its magic. For that matter, if any Ford Motor Company executives happen to read this, I have a helpful suggestion for you, too. Cooperate with the mass pruning of regulations, and then get one of your factories turning out brand new copies of the 1966 Mustang fastback. You’ve still got the plans, right? Don’t change a thing. Leave out all the “improvements,” and sell them at a price that gives you the same profit per vehicle you pocketed back in 1966. Your sales and stock value will take off—well, there’s no other way to put it: like a ‘66 Mustang when the light turns green and the driver floors it. You’re welcome, and you can thank me with a few hundred shares of stock.

There are so many people out here who outright REFUSE to learn anything about AI or LLM's. AI/LLM's don't copy content, they learn what something looks like, the pattern of a thing. If you provide 1000 examples of a "Blue Eye" it learns what a blue eye looks like from that example. The Collector a story by Vixyy Fox - makes you think. “In all my vainglorious days I’ve not seen one of these that were so very shiny!” The remark was made in jocularity but the pup listening had no idea about that; he’d been hunting all morning and just found a very pretty rock. Needing to know its value, he took it to the one person he felt would know its worth; an old prospector who’d blown into their small town like a tumbleweed. “Do you think it’s s’pensive?” he asked. His small voice near cracked in its anxiety over the hope that his heart now felt. The old Dog looked at him and smiled an almost toothless grin. “Worth every penny in the treasury,” he replied. “I ain’t never seen one this sparkly.” The pup jumped up and down in delighted prancing as his feet began to work in a heartfelt excitement. “I can’t wait to tell Mama… she’s sick and this’ll make her better!” The Collector stopped at these words and gave the child a very hard look. “What do you mean by ‘sick’?” he asked. “She’s got the B’fallows,” the tyke told him. “The doctor said so and then she sent me to find a shiny rock for her.” The old Dog looked at the worthless rock in his paw, understanding illuminating his thoughts like a lantern. His own mother had sent him to find a shiny rock. He had done so, finding many shiny yellow pebbles in a nearby stream. When he came back with them, if she was dead her plan to spare him the moment would have worked. Standing, he looked at the pup and then at his bag of gold hidden in the weeds. “Take me to her,” he told the pup softly, “We’ll use this rock to pay that doctor to get us the right medicines to help yer Ma along. In fact… what say I trade you a bag of gold for this wonderful shiny thing, and then you use that to bring the doctor back?” On this day the old Dog finally understood the purpose his life had been set to; one little pup’s mother would be spared, and her son saved from a life of collecting worthless rocks.

Fun fact: cheetahs are probably friendlier than your average house cat.
