@SpaceTomatoGG I think it was delayed, less due to not being ready, and more because of GTA 6, as it was planned for a November release. Like many studios, I think Playground and Microsoft/Xbox were holding out to see if Rockstar would delay again. But it seems it is a locked date now.

This is year is packed with incredible games for XBOX players to enjoy, from Halo: Campaign Evolved, Gears of War: E-Day and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 to Control Resonant, Star Wars: Galactic Racer and Grand Theft Auto VI. Star Citizen players are spending $5,000 on the Anvil Odin, a 762-meter battle cruiser that hasn’t been added to the game yet. The ship is still in development, but players are already spending like 4 full salaries on a simple ship, they must be rich. Star Citizen has always had expensive ships, but spending $5k on a ship that doesn’t yet exist in-game is insane. This explains why the game’s crowdfunding campaign recently passed $1 billion, making it one of the most successful crowdfunded projects ever.

@CorpseKings I mean it looks interesting, but after playing the original on XBox; I’m not looking forward to this at all. Way too cartoony and contrived and political for me…. I’m looking forward to Witcher IV on PS6 next year. 👍

@nuhre_ This idea that GTA6 will be played by absolutely everybody on the planet, so no game should release in the month of November because of it, is ridiculous. Felt like so many games were delayed last year for this exact reason, only for GTA6 to be delayed into this year.

@heyitsgilroy @RenanSt8 @ShirakoTheFirst @Pirat_Nation I bet people forget that the Dunia Engine that has been running Far Cry since Far Cry 2 is just a highly modified and reworked version of Cryengine 1 (Far Cry 1) and it has just been iterate on since FC2. The marrow of Cryengine 1 is there, but it is very much it's own engine.

@heyitsgilroy @RenanSt8 @ShirakoTheFirst @Pirat_Nation R Saint clearly has no idea how games are made and just thinks updating/replacing code is easy. Which isn't even what CIG did with Star Engine. The bone marrow of Cryengine is still there, but everything else is completely it's own.

@Pirat_Nation I got a package that was a couple hundred bucks years and years ago and the shit still isn't done. There was one event that was fun to take part in, but outside of that the game felt like a total fucking scam. It's painful to see people still hurling money at this.
