Es frustrante que todavía mucha gente no sepa diferenciar los distintos pueblos indígenas del continente. Agruparlos a todos como si fueran lo mismo no solo es un error, también termina borrando la identidad de culturas completamente distintas, como la de los taínos del Caribe o los pueblos del Amazonas. Los taínos, por ejemplo, tenían su propia historia, organización social y características culturales, igual que los mayas, los andinos o tantos otros pueblos. Cada uno de estos grupos era distinto, con su propio desarrollo y contexto. Reducirlos a una sola idea simplificada es perder una parte importante de la historia de América.
