@JackPosobiec US lobby groups rail roaded the UK into banning fracking for gas. The UK subsequently banned fracking. UK did a massive deal with US for gas - fracked gas. At least the US didn't blow up key UK energy infra. We have our own MPs for that. forbes.com/sites/simoncon…

@Leebee2nd Because we're 280 million years too late here. Plus we live in a densely populated country there's not enough space for it to not effect population you need thousands of wells and its too expensive to extract.

Why have we banned UK fracking but import fracked gas if Sunak is so clever and still enjoys Boris’s thumping majority?

Britain is a big importer of US fracked gas. It pays top premium rates for the fracked gas plus shipping, processing & storage. It is well known the UK sits on trillions of cubic metres of its own shale gas reserves, but dare not recover them for fear of Brussels. Are we idiots?
