To run the campaign in #Makerfield, elderly racist Rupert Lowe has recruited the disgraced former Tory MP Scott Benton, who lost the whip in 2023 after suggesting to undercover reporters at the Times that he would be willing to break lobbying rules for money. A Reform UK source said: “Lowe is constantly attacking us for accepting former Tories, now he is working with a Tory who resigned his seat in disgrace.” The far-right Restore Britain party, which has attracted neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and Holocaust deniers (who Lowe refuses to condemn) calls for “remigration”, and the party’s manifesto pledges to deport foreign-born legal residents if they, for example, live in social housing or take benefits. Lowe has used offensive language about immigrants, recently saying at the campaign launch in Makerfield: “They should be deported to a midge-infested island offshore either England or Scotland and let the midges do the rest.” The Restore candidate for Makerfield appeared uncomfortable standing next to Lowe as he made those disgusting remarks, and grimaced. Lowe warns about preserving Britain's “Christian identity” (he ain’t no Christian) and “protecting” the historic (white) British population from demographic/cultural “replacement”, which some say sits uneasily with one of his son’s recent marriage to Yasmin Mezran — a non-white Italian immigrant with Libyan paternal heritage (North African/Muslim-majority background). Lowe has also described foreign immigrant Elon Musk, who for years has been actively engaged in interfering in and subverting British democracy, as a “patriot”, despite repeatedly criticising and opposing foreign interference in British democracy and sovereignty. Lowe has argued that decisions affecting Britain should be made only by those fully (unlike Musk) integrated into British culture and society. Lowe has also supported tighter restrictions on foreign donations and financial influence in UK politics (despite receiving at least £50,000 from @X, owned by Musk, for his bigoted tweets) including engagement with reviews aimed at protecting elections from overseas money and malign actors. In speeches and interviews, he has consistently highlighted threats to parliamentary sovereignty and national control, advocating for policies that prioritise British interests (Musk’s interests categorically do not align with Britain’s interests). Lowe claims his broader platform through Restore Britain centres on restoring British sovereignty, reducing external influences in domestic politics, and putting British citizens first. His public record shows a clear pattern of rhetoric and actions focused on safeguarding national democracy from foreign interference — except when it comes to brown-nosing the richest wanker alive. Lowe is a bigoted multimillionaire, educated at one of the most expensive private schools on earth, masquerading as a patriotic man of the people while sounding exactly like a posh, selfish, elderly racist.
