In March 2026, Richard Tice said: “Starmer and Labour... are traitors to Britain.” Tice knows better than most that being called a “traitor” carries severe social, psychological, and sometimes violent or even fatal consequences. Just hours after Nigel Farage launched the Breaking Point poster, inspired by Nazi propaganda, Jo Cox was murdered by far-right terrorist Thomas Mair, who viewed Cox as a “traitor to white people.” Mair shouted phrases like “Britain first” and “Put Britain first” as he shot and stabbed Jo, and during his first court appearance, he declared: “My name is death to traitors, freedom for Britain.” Tice has attacked “The Times Group” (part of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp), saying: “you stoop to any low to smear and discredit us. You lie, libel and make things up. How many more Reform politicians do you want dead?” - which is a bit rich coming from a privately educated multimillionaire who calls fellow politicians “traitors.” Speaking of being a bit rich, billionaire Rupert Murdoch and his News Corp titles have often aligned with right-wing, “anti-establishment”, and Brexit-supporting views, and Reform UK leader Farage (himself a privately educated multimillionaire and by far the highest earning UK MP) has met Murdoch multiple times. Finally, you may recall that in March 2025, Richard Tice told The Times he had “never met Nathan Gill” and that Gill had “never had anything to do with Reform”. However, photos from April 2021 show Tice campaigning alongside Gill (then Reform UK Wales leader), with Tice posting online: “Great to be with Nathan Gill, leader of Reform UK Wales, campaigning today.” Gill, the former Reform Wales leader and ex-MEP, was later jailed for 10.5 years in November 2025 after pleading guilty to bribery for making pro-Russia statements. Why would anyone trust anything that shameless hypocritical liar Richard Tice says?

If he hasn't already Toby Young will post something about how these people died with not from the heat
GET A GRIP@docrussjackson

🧵 2,700 mainly older people in Britain died prematurely during the recent heatwave. What first attracted Reform UK to the £24M it got from oil and gas interests, and to GB News, owned by billionaire Paul Marshall, whose hedge-fund has £2.1 billion invested in fossil fuel firms? Reform's Nigel Farage recently shared an Instagram video, saying “The hysteria, we're being told that if we leave our houses we'll all be dead, is just nonsense. Be sensible and enjoy the lovely weather.” The multimillionaire former Commodities Trader in the City of London and by far the highest earning MP, who was privatey educated at Dulwich College, one of the most elite establishment institutions on earth, described net zero as “a political elite project disconnected from voters”. Reform's shameless multimillionaire liar Richard Tice has falsely claimed “Man-made climate change is garbage”, there's “no evidence” that CO₂ drives it, and has described CO₂ as “plant food,” not a pollutant. Reform's dribbling idiot Andrea Jenkyns stated during a heatwave/drought period, “Do I believe that climate change exists? No.” She has also described climate change as a “money-making racket” - which is, funnily enough, precisely what Reform UK is for all the ex-Tories in it. Reform's particularly stupid bigoted adolescent odd weirdo and former Labour and Tory MP, Lee Anderson, said “Climate Change. It's been happening for millions of years”, and only “odd weirdos” care about decarbonisation. Reform's unelected son of immigrants multimillionaire Muhammed Zia Yusuf argued in a GB News discussion that: “If there's one thing [the British way of life] is not under threat from, it's climate change.” Reform's failed parliamentary candidate, out-of-touch, morally righteous self-serving elite and regular GB News presenter, Matt Goodwin, having swallowed Steve Bannon's 'anti-woke' dictionary, described net zero as “a pet project among an out-of-touch, morally righteous and self-serving elite.” A 2026 policy brief from the London School of Economics' Grantham Research Institute found multiple Reform-controlled councils and councillors using language that questioned or rejected human-caused climate change. The hedge fund run by GB News co-owner Paul Marshall, which employs Farage and Lee Anderson and regular platforms Matt Goodwin, Danny Kruger, Zia Yusuf and other senior Reform UK figures, almost tripled its investments in fossil fuel companies in the first quarter of 2026 to £2.1 billion. Finally, Reform supporters are, on average, older and less likely to have university-level qualifications than supporters of Labour, the LibDems or the Greens. Older people are also among those most vulnerable to extreme heat, and are less likely to engage with more reliable, serious, and less partisan news media. Correlation is not causation, but polling shows a striking divide in attitudes towards climate policy: support for achieving net zero by 2050 or sooner is highest among Green supporters (89%), followed by LibDems (81%), Labour (79%), Conservatives (53%) and Reform UK supporters (26%). Reform voters are therefore a clear outlier: only around one quarter support maintaining the UK's current net-zero trajectory, and a significant majority favour slowing or even reducing climate action. ALWAYS follow the money... 🤑

Mr Yusuf, For the avoidance of doubt, I pleaded guilty in 1987 to an offence of gross indecency under laws that discriminated against homosexual men. The age of consent was then 21 for gay men & 16 for heterosexuals. Those discriminatory offences no longer exist. Also, the individual who was 17 was ‘wired for sound’ by Robert Maxwell’s paper. He said on the tape he was over 21. Unfortunately, there was a lacuna in the law in 1987 which provided heterosexuals with a defence. If heterosexuals believed those they had sexual relations with were of consensual age, & the jury believed this, then they could find the accused not guilty. No such defence pertained to homosexuals. If the younger person was under 21, the offence was committed. I did not realise this lacuna in the law existed until my lawyer, Sir David Napley, informed me. I then told him immediately I would plead guilty. Parliament has since recognised that these laws were unjust. Under the so-called “Alan Turing law”, people convicted of consensual homosexual offences under repealed legislation can have those convictions disregarded & pardoned as part of righting historic wrongs. Also, what I did was neither gross nor indecent. It was done in private and between consenting adults. I have never hidden any of this. What you are doing is attempting to weaponise a historic conviction under discriminatory laws to discredit me because you disagree with my views, & blind loyalty. That is your choice. My point remains unchanged: politicians should respect the police’s request not to speculate during a live murder investigation. Personal abuse is no answer to a principled argument. You are free to criticise me, & to answer a principled argument with personal abuse & character assassination - however unbecoming - but personal vilification is no substitute for civil debate. Ann Widdecombe believed in decency, free speech & the rule of law - which is why she stood by me and offered me practical, private & public support throughout my ordeals. I rather think she would have expected better.
Zia Yusuf@ZiaYusufUK

Harvey, You pled guilty to paying a 17 year old boy for sex. When you were 39. This is “disgrace”. Given you claim to have “nothing to apologise for” I feel compelled to inform you:  *this conduct is still illegal today*. You went to your party’s client press to condemn Nigel - who was also grieving for Ann - for asking questions that are now totally vindicated.  All to score a cheap party political point. This is “depraved”.

Zia Yusuf was lying when he said that Nigel Farage wasn't offered protection. In fact, he was offered the same level of protection as Kemi Badenoch, but he refused.

Vile, abusive, divisive convicted grifting right-wing criminal, who pleaded guilty to inciting racist violence by calling for innocent people to be burned alive for a crime they didn't commit, takes the moral high ground. 🤪

🧵 The internet never forgets. A thread of tweets posted by Lucy Connolly. A reminder of the one, viewed 310,000 times, for which she was jailed, which urged people to burn down asylum seeker hotels after the #Southport attack - which had nothing to do with asylum seekers.

"Think before sharing any unverified information." Assistant Commissioner Taylor says he's aware of the "significant levels of public interest" in this case, given that Ann Widdecombe was such a high-profile political and public figure and familiar to many. "I do not intend to address every bit of speculation we have seen," he says, "but I would like to use this opportunity to remind the public that investigations of this type are complex, and new information can emerge as officers progress their inquiries." Assistant Commissioner Taylor appeals to the public to "allow us to do our job thoroughly and carefully, and think before sharing any unverified information". "It is important to remember that this is a murder investigation following a brutal attack on a 78-year-old lady in her own home," he says.  "I want to ensure that our work is conducted sensitively and considers the impact of what has happened." Taylor ends by reassuring those who knew Widdecombe that the team of investigators working on the murder case are "excellent" and once again appeals for anybody who might have information that could help the investigation to contact police. news.sky.com/story/ann-widd…
