@Jopo_dr As a patient I want someone who really knows what they are doing. I’m difficult to cannulate and Its really miserable when lots of people try and fail with cannulas and bloods. I have a port but most hospital staff don’t seem to be able to use it to take bloods

I don’t mean to be disrespectful at all to anyone, I just wonder where this has come from: if I was unable to take bloods as a junior I would do an ABG if Reg etc been asked. But people seem to call ICU for venepuncture? Is there evidence against an ABG for this?
