All immigrants. All brand new.
I saw 2 white people my entire drive.
F150 couple years old
Toyota Tacoma probably 10 years old

Some of the nastiest posts I’ve seen on this site have been of non-Irish people (especially left-wing Americans) ridiculing Dolores for writing an ‘anti IRA’ song. Leaving aside the fact that it was an anti-violence song against both the provos and British forces, I can’t think of a more deeply human refrain than ‘it’s not me, it’s not my family’ in response to a terrorist group murdering two children in our name. Sadly that empathy across borders is far too uncommon. It’s even more uncommon amongst people who watch conflicts from afar as a sport.

@Fragge5 I think it's quite evenly split tbh. Now I don't know the situation in other towns but it does seem crazy that a float like that was approved for their parades. Apparently it popped up in Headford parade also.

Just on this, at least in Castlebar there is a stringent enough process to get things approved for the parade. A school last year was told they were allowed march in parade but not allowed do a protest chant for more funding as it was deemed not appropriate for St. Patricks Day.
