@nickjohns47 @TheAdrianDurham Danny Mills was even worse. Last time I’m listening to West Ham
commentary on that station. Incredibly one-sided nonsense.
English

@TheAdrianDurham Adrian your commentary was misinformed and patronising. Disappointing from a broadcaster of your experience. West Ham whilst riding their luck first half were clearly the better side second half. Your comments on Jarrod Bowen at halftime were disgraceful and unprofessional.
English

And that's how it finished. Not sure West Ham will win too many games playing like that but fans will have loved any kind of away win after a long journey like that. Bowen terrific.
Adrian Durham@TheAdrianDurham
West Ham winning 2-0 at Newcastle live and exclusive on @talkSPORT. Seriously.
English

@SteveHe66576662 @TheAdrianDurham @talkSPORT I think he and Danny Mills must have had a bet on Newcastle. They were genuinely gutted by the outcome. I’ve never heard such partisan commentary from a national radio station. It was actually a bit weird.
English

@TheAdrianDurham @talkSPORT Piss poor commentary tonight but we are all able to voice our opinions, but perhaps if your being paid to comment on a match with 2 sets of fans listening slagging off one team the whole match isn’t the way to keep listeners!
English

@WestHamViews_ It was all a bit weird. In the end I think West Ham didn’t do enough so no real complaints but it definitely felt like Bristol City players could have done anything last night and stayed on the pitch.
English

@westhamtransfer Coufal has been amazing this season. Looked a little tired last couple of games but no surprise. He will get a rest in a week’s time and be back to his best.
English

@TheLawless There has been a big clamour for him to play but whenever I’ve seen him he looks way off it. My view is that our young players need to go out on loan before getting a proper chance in the team. They either seem to sit in the u21’s or on the bench until it’s too late.
English

@maxrushden @guardian_sport @jonawils @Towno10 @bglendenning Winning matches comfortably with just 20% possession. Is Moyes a football dinosaur or a tactical genius?
English

@TheLawless Agreed. I think the board deserve some credit for once.
English

Tim Steidten, signing of the season 👏

Fabrizio Romano@FabrizioRomano
Mohammed Kudus to West Ham, here we go! Verbal agreement sealed with Ajax on €45m total package add-ons included plus sell-on clause 🚨⚒️🇬🇭 Player’s five year deal also agreed and medical booked on Saturday. Huge work by new director Tim Steidten, waiting to sign docs in 48h.
English

@dansilver_ But we definitely did win a cup, I remember it!
English

@MikeSalmon1402 @WillLebeau18 He literally said “days like today you have to apologise to the fans because we have let them down”.
English

@WillLebeau18 Sadly Rice can't do any wrong in some people's eyes. Of course he is an excellent player, but in my opinion has never been captain material. Not sure he has got what it takes to rally them on the pitch. Not even an apology to the travelling fans is not good enough
English

@alexnaomiramos_ Stop being such a snowflake. He’s not talking about the fans. The question premises headlines about “West Ham in Crisis”. He’s talking about the media.
English

@westhamfootball I defended Johnson during the week as I thought he played well against Man U and just ran out of legs. Today on the other hand, he was breathtakingly poor. Not the only one though. Soucek, Paqueta, Benrahma, Ings. Even Rice had a stinker.
English

@TheLawless He didn’t mention fans. Don’t try to drive a wedge between players and the fans as that only leads to one thing.
English

@Kevton_Tech @JacobSteinberg The entitlement of Chelsea fans nowadays is amazing. Don’t forget where you came from. Chelsea have so much money they can keep rolling the dice and will inevitably win things but, in the end, it must feel a bit hollow. Give him some time and he may build something sustainable.
English

@JacobSteinberg Finally, Mr. Steinburg a credible journalist fully understands the restlessness of we the fans. Graham Potter cannot keep on making excuses every time Chelsea loses. Football is a results-based business. You either produce results or you go home. Great piece here Jacob.👏🙌
English

Backing Potter just because Arteta recovered from a difficult start at Arsenal doesn't really make sense. Analysis on the situation at Chelsea #cfc theguardian.com/football/2023/…

@GNev2 Neville and Keane talking down his price this week. I don’t think we will get £120M but I think we will get close to £100M.
Anyway, I’m sure all West Ham fans would prefer to keep him than the club have £120M to spend on other players, so I think that tells you everything.
English

I get that but they aren’t being quoted at £120m. I like Declan Rice a lot but the price tag is too great for that position without goals and assists.
West Ham Transfers@westhamtransfer
“Doesn’t score enough” He has the same amount of league goals as “the best” Casemiro and Rodri but you won’t hear criticism for them not scoring enough because it doesn’t fit your agenda @GNev2
English

@DOWHU_1995 Nonsense. He tired last 20 but up to then he had him in his pocket. Defended really well.
English

@whucentre Thought Roy Keane was on a wind up last night. West ham defended well for 70 mins and individual errors cost us. His criticism of Declan before the game was also a joke. It’s a personal thing with Declan. He just sounded like a crackpot.
