@MusialaEra ST holder at PL club, sit behind goal. Kane picked the ball up at the edge of the box, 19 men behind the ball, he finds the smallest of gap, absolutely impossible for most, slots it in. Looked impossible but only Kane makes that. He’s had my respect for a long time. Incredible.

Having witnessed both week in week out at my club, I can say Harry Kane is definitely a better player than Robert Lewandowski. At this point it‘s simply no longer a debate. Sorry for all Tottenham fans who tried to tell the world for so long. Harry is an alien.

@daphnebarret_ @internpierre Indeed. As a Brit, I know the French aren’t the most endearing towards us and I know we don’t have the greatest rep abroad but after going to the SoF for 15 years the number of Yanks is terrifying. It’s one big instagram shoot for them with the caption “Euro summer!”.

@Cam_Jourdan They’re the best players in the world ffs. They should be suffering a bit at a Major. Those -250 scores were getting bit much.

Scottie Scheffler called Friday's pin locations at the PGA Championship "kind of absurd." "This is the hardest set of pin locations that I've seen since I've been on Tour, and that includes U.S. Opens, that includes Oakmont. I did ask, I asked Fooch, who caddies for Justin Rose. He's been around a long time -- and I asked Teddy too -- have you seen anything like this before? They said maybe Shinnecock is the only place they have seen that has pins that could compare to this."

@Mr_Derivatives Spot on. I love the NBA, just got in to NFL, aside from the crazy start times for your games (understandable), the constant ad breaks, timeouts etc often ruins the viewing experience relative to what im used to. Often will just opt for the highlights over a “State Farm” ad.

I don't really watch much Futbol (aka soccer to us Americans). But the more I watch it, the more I like it. One of the main reasons is that it's continuous action without any breaks or commercial interruptions. Once you realize that, it's hard to unsee the countless commercials and breaks in between NBA, MLB, NFL, etc... Am I right or am I right?!

@bluestberries Holidayed in the US and have relatives there. Always loved my visits and I got used to the craziness of it all after a while. But the price changing at the till?! I could never wrap my head around that one.

the weirdest shit ever about the US to me is how prices don’t include taxes like you mean you’re doing groceries and the final price is a surprise ? it’s insane

@ProRecoil Picked up fifa again this year a bit. Stopped in 2020 before that. From 2012-2020 I remember the jubilation when I packed Ibra and Eto’o when he was in Russia. Never packed anyone else. Feeling was unreal. Now Im packing special cards that are rendered useless within a week.

Mbappe needs a coach that can boldly tell him he’s not technically gifted to play the free role that he wants, he should just go back to being a pace merchant because this dropping deep thing is hard to watch

@TetraChad Underestimating the importance of what extremely strict laws, a good behaviour culture and a pioneering strong fisted genius leader for 50 years does to a society. Singapore is Singapore because of its leadership and the faith they had in him to lead them with those policies.

Singapore is a high trust society and doesnt have a homogenous culture. Different races and ethnic groups packed into a small space yet you can walk around at 3am drunk with cash hanging out of your pocket and a $100k watch on your wrist and no one will do anything
Lou Scott Keyes@LS_Keyes

Japan was the first time I understood what a "High Trust Society" looked like. It comes down to a homogeneous culture and people bound by a cohesive social fabric. Which doesn't exist in America.

@AyDolfDeedler @builderanthro Spot on. For me, the line between employer and employee and father and son was becoming blurred. Ultimately, I didn’t want to jeopardise the great relationship I have with my dad. Both decided it was best to call it quits. It’s great now.

@builderanthro as a guy with a wildly successful businessman for a father. even though i get along with him great, working with him from age 16 to 24 had me getting into shouting matches with him. getting experience outside of what you know can be very helpful in shaping paradigms

I had a young guy working for me while finishing college. Dad is an extremely successful financial advisor. The kid wanted to be a builder/developer. I asked him why he didn’t want to work with his dad, with whom he had a great relationship. Just didn’t. I wanted to shake him

@MrSammyJames @WhiteNoise1879 This what I’ve been saying. From the outside looking in, is everyone else in the same boat. League wide mediocrity from 5th to 14th seems to be the case. We all think we’ve been woeful. Yet we’re 3 points off a possible CL spot. Unreal when you take it at face value!

@luispedrocoelho @dilanesper Deffo adds insult to injury. It’s the Americanisation of the game over here too. The amount of tickets allocated to “corporate” grows every year. Harder to attend games and local fans get priced out.

@VoxProMLS Don’t think so. European fans of some clubs have stadiums just as big with much more history, more charm etc. they’ll be more impressed if the pitch holds up and the tournament turns out to be great. Off the pitch vibes is more of an American thing.

@Throwaway194602 @AtomizedYield @Falilatt_ Only in very few places. In London theres a 12.5% service charge in most restaurants now. People pay but aren’t happy about it. A 13.5% charge is seen as the greatest sin. We’re very much against it, but restaurant staff are paid a double figure hourly minimum wage.
