Before the tariffs hit, before Donald Trump kicked off his three-ring tariff show, Brian Lilley suggested I come with him to see the Conservative leader speak to the elite of Bay Street. So I did. I watched him. His tone was right. Pierre Poilievre looked and sounded like you would expect a Prime Minister to look and sound. His economic plan and his plan for dealing with the tariffs seemingly made sense. But as I stood there at the back watching him, it was obvious that he could not bring himself to clearly and unambiguously condemn Donald Trump. Canadians want him to do that. I'm now convinced he will never do that. it could be fatal.

@kinsellawarren So, if he doesn't know the facts, because he doesn't have clearance, then one can deduce that anything he says is a lie, or at the very least not verified.

This is ridiculous. He was a cabinet minister. He had a top-secret security clearance. He could get one again in 10 seconds. He's not doing now so because, to accept the briefing, would prevent him from speaking about the issue.
