I think I’ll head on down to the old Oasis, Oh I’ve got friends in low places 🎶

🤣 it’s kind of funny actually. We never got any joint accounts. All of her money IS her money. Before I knew I could propose to her we had to move in together and see how responsible she was with 💰 . I started a spreadsheet for our expenses. We split everything 50/50 and would write checks to each other at the end of the month. Highly recommend! There was no way I could ever be with a financially irresponsible person. I’ve been working since I was 14 years old. i was buying treasury bills with free money i would borrow from my credit cards via 0% interest/0% fee since i was like 19 years old. At end of 12 or 18 months i would return the money and pocket the interest. Never messed it up and taught my self financial responsibility and discipline I utilize to this day. That great credit score allowed me to get access to a loan to build my first business. Also, highly recommend financial literacy! Then one day after marriage and maybe when she became a stay at home Mom I took over all the bills. She trusted me with money and I trusted her. She still has trouble splurging on higher priced things we need. We live like college kids. 🤣 We have never bought real furniture (ikea doesnt count). We have been poor together for the first 16 years of our 17 year relationship. Every last unused cent was reinvested into the next business or into retirement accounts. We were never wasteful with money. Highly recommend. We never allowed money get in the middle of our love. We have never even yelled at each other. She let’s me make the high risk moves that ultimately allowed me to solve the money problem. And we lived happily ever after. PS-a brief thought turned into an essay. 🤷 🫶🏻
