@kvanaren @emilynussbaum Lots of parents are so prescriptive about baby gear because everyone finds out there's about 30% of it you end up never touching. The problem is, WHICH 30% you don't need is different for every parent and you don't get to know until you have the kid.

@emilynussbaum yeah I have certainly had the experience of much older parents telling me about how little of the gear was actually necessary ... and then "wow if we'd had that when my kids were tiny I would've used it constantly!!!"
