The only Ebola I take seriously was the one we had in Gulu in the early 2000s, it wiped out the entire bardege division, at some point we had to be under a lock down (no school), that variant of Ebola was brought by the UPDF from Congo, one you caught it now by evening you are gone to your creater by evening. It killed two of my teachers, I saw the photos of the patients since my Dad was a journalist back then, he had access to the footage of the patients, the last death that sent the entire town into mourning was that of Doctor Matthew Lukwiya.

have you guys ever seen an Ebola patient. face to face? It just hit me that I have never. Not even on TV. Maybe this is why I dont take the disease as seriously as others sometimes do. How scary is the scene?

Doesn't this exception extend the standard of proof in civil cases from "proof on a balance of probabilities" to "proof beyond reasonable doubt"?

EXCEPTION TO THE RULE THAT FACTS ADMITTED NEED NO FURTHER PROOF Eribenne v. Ugoh (2026) 7 NWLR (Pt. 2043) 485 (Pp. 525-526, paras. F-B) Facts admitted by an adversary party need not be proved by the claimant. However, where the court is being urged upon to make a declaration of right, the party making the claim has an onerous duty to satisfy the court by cogent evidence, not by sheer admission in pleadings of the defendant, that he is so entitled. This forms the very basis of the trite doctrine that the party claiming a declaratory relief or right must succeed on the strength of his case, and not on the supposed weakness of the defence.

With United’s defensive options expected to be fully fit next season, Yoro is likely to struggle for regular first-team minutes. Currently, Uganda has two separate U17 football teams playing in different tournaments (in Qatar for the World Cup and the other in Ethiopia for the AFCON U17 CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers). It’s unfortunate that the programme for the WC and CECAFA clashed. On a brighter note: All the 23 Uganda U17 players have passed MRI tests.

The national U17 men’s team, The Cubs, safely arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia this morning ahead of the TotalEnergies AFCON U17 CECAFA Region Qualifiers that kick off on Saturday. On arrival at Bole International Airport, the Ugandan contingent of 23 players and officials, led by FUFA Executive Committee Member Issa Magoola Kakaire, was warmly received and ushered to Debredamo Hotel for accommodation. #CECAFAU17
