Anaesthesia pro tip: Want to be sure you have suctioned out secretions prior to extubating? Instead of blindly poking with a Yankauer, use the ETT itself as a suction device as you remove it to minimise trauma. Stick the Yank in the ETT, form a seal with your hand and extubate
