I think @ProfOsinbajo and @MBuhari and Yahaya bello have demystified 3 great myths in the mind of the average Nigerian. You don't need a Pastor, you don't need a StrongMan, you don't need a Young person for Nigeria to get better. Reality check.

FG Increases WAEC, NECO Examination Fee From N27,500 to N50,000 for 2027 The Federal Government has approved a new examination fee of N50,000 for candidates sitting the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and National Examinations Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCE), with the new rate taking effect from 2027. The approval was contained in a June 18 statement signed by Adeniji Ibrahim, Director of Senior Secondary Education at the Federal Ministry of Education. It followed a request by WAEC for an upward review of the SSCE registration fee. The new fee represents an 82% increase from the current N27,500 charged per candidate. According to Ibrahim, the decision was reached after a March 31, 2026 meeting between the Minister of Education and examination bodies, where the need to review examination fees was discussed. He said the minister also directed both WAEC and NECO to adopt a uniform examination fee. “You may recall that at a meeting of examination bodies held with the honourable minister of education on 31 March, 2026, where the need for upward review of examination fees was discussed, the honourable minister directed that WAEC and NECO should adopt a uniform fee for the conduct of WAEC and NECO SSCE,” the statement read. It added, “Consequently, I am directed to convey the honourable minister of education’s approval of the sum of fifty thousand naira (N50,000.00) only, as the new examination fee per candidate, with effect from NECO SSCE (Internal), 2027.” The ministry said the directive should be communicated to all relevant stakeholders.

We Lost Him 💔😭 My heart is shattered beyond words Our little brother, 13-year-old David Raymond, has gone home to be with the Lord after fighting for his life for 18 painful days David was not a soldier He was not a criminal He was only a child whose only "offense" was being born into a Christian family in Plateau State On that dark night in Kawel village, Bokkos LGA, terrorists stormed his home while the family slept His father, Raymond Maichibi, stood between death and his son, hoping to save him with his own body, but he was shot and killed His mother, Nanlop Raymond, hid inside the bedroom, praying for mercy, but the bullets found her too David tried to escape, but an AK-47 bullet ripped through his back and stomach, leaving his intestines exposed As doctors struggled day and night to save this innocent child, his parents were already lying in a mass grave alongside 20 other Christians murdered simply because of their faith The family could not bring themselves to tell David that he was now an orphan They hoped he would recover first But today, that painful secret no longer matters David has gone to join his father and mother in eternity Before he died, his trembling voice still echoed from his hospital bed "They came in the night... My father tried to protect me and they shot him... My mother was hiding when they shot her too... I ran and they shot me in the back..." How many more children must die before the world listens How many more Christian families must be erased before our tears are seen The silence of the world has become another weapon against us "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." — Matthew 5:10 David's blood cries out from the ground His story must not die with him I plead with the Church around the world, do not stop praying for the persecuted Church in Nigeria Remember us before the throne of God Stand with us while there is still someone left to save May the Lord comfort every grieving heart and may little David Raymond rest in the everlasting arms of Jesus until we meet again Rest in peace, precious child Your suffering is over Your crown awaits you 💔😭🙏

My beloved brethren, this is Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo. My heart is heavy. My eyes are filled with tears. Since hearing the story of little David Raymond, I have struggled to find the words. How can a 13-year-old child carry such unbearable pain? How can a boy wake up one morning and discover that the world he knew has disappeared? David lies on a hospital bed today, fighting for his life after a bullet ripped through his back and stomach, leaving him in unbearable pain. While doctors fought through the night to save his life, the bodies of his father, Raymond Maichibi, and his mother, Nanlop Raymond, were lowered into a mass grave alongside many other innocent people from their community. The most heartbreaking part is that David has not yet been told that his parents are gone forever. His loved ones cannot find the strength to tell him that he is now an orphan. Imagine the moment when that young boy opens his eyes, asking, "Where is my father? Where is my mother?" knowing that no one has the courage to answer him. David recalled that armed men entered their home in the darkness of the night. His father stood between death and his son. Like every loving father, he tried to protect his child with his own life. He was shot. His mother hid in fear, praying that somehow she would survive, but she too was killed. David tried to escape, but a bullet struck him from behind. What kind of pain is this? What kind of world allows children to carry wounds that no child should ever know? Our Lord Jesus Christ said in 16:33, "In this world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." Today, I ask the Church across the world not to grow weary. We cannot become silent while our brothers and sisters continue to suffer. We cannot close our eyes while innocent children are left without fathers, without mothers, without homes, and without hope. The Word of God tells us in 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." David may have lost his earthly parents, but I pray that the God who calls Himself the Father of the fatherless will surround him with His unfailing love. May the Lord heal every wound in his body and every scar in his heart. Brethren, please remember David in your prayers. Pray for his surviving siblings. Pray for every grieving family. Pray for every widow. Pray for every orphan. Pray for every community living in fear. And as long as God gives me breath, I will continue to speak. They may say I speak too much, but how can I keep quiet when children are burying their parents? How can I remain silent when families are wiped away overnight? As the Lord declares in 31:8–9, "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves... defend the rights of the poor and needy." May God comfort every broken heart. May He strengthen the weak. May He heal David Raymond completely. May He bring justice, peace, and hope to every suffering family. In Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

Since 2015, Enugu State has not paid GRATUITY to her retirees. Ugwuanyi did not pay a Kobo for 8 years. Gratuity not Pension. Peter Mbah came in and simply decided to start paying only those that retired from 2023 when his administration commenced. In other words, retirees between 2015-2022 are not human beings in his eyes. Things are happening.

Wait till you see what we found. • ₦3.5bn for a Technical & Vocational Training College in Kaduna. • ₦1.4bn for road construction in Ogun. • ₦700m for dental X-ray machines and dental chairs in Ekiti. All under the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education. And this wasn't a one-off. While analysing the 2026 budget, we found 11,122 constituency projects worth ₦6.93 trillion that blur agency mandates, making it harder for Nigerians to follow the money and hold the right institutions accountable. We unpacked what this means for the credibility of the 2026 budget in our Federal Government Approved Budget Analysis. Every Nigerian needs to know what the government is doing. The saddest thing about living in Nigeria today is that you can just die and people will barely notice. We are all literally struggling so much so that death no matter how it comes no longer moves us to pause and ponder. We have been de-humanized and are now just fleshy moving objects.

“No Stadium in Nigeria Can Host a World Cup” — Football Journalist Pooja Says Nigeria has a Long Way to Go Football journalist Pooja, speaking on the FIFA World Cup Roundup Show, has said Nigeria remains far behind the world’s leading football nations in both infrastructure and on-field performance. According to him, no stadium in the country currently meets FIFA’s standards to host a World Cup match, stressing that even the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo falls short. “Infrastructure-wise, I think we have a long way to go. I don’t think there’s any stadium in Nigeria that can host the World Cup. Even Uyo cannot. The facilities in Uyo are like 20% of what you have in Atlanta Stadium or the New Jersey Stadium.” Pooja argued that building more stadiums alone is not the solution, saying many existing facilities are underutilised because local football lacks a strong fan culture. “We don’t even watch matches in Nigeria. There’s no fan base. It’s a waste of resources. Look at Uyo; apart from Super Eagles games, the stadium is not used to its full capacity.” He also questioned the quality of the current Super Eagles, pointing to disappointing results against teams including Lesotho, Zimbabwe, South Africa, DR Congo, Sierra Leone and Morocco as evidence that Nigeria struggles in crucial matches. Comparing the standard of football at the FIFA World Cup with Nigeria’s level, Pooja said the gap is significant. “The level of football being played at this World Cup is out of this world. Infrastructure-wise, we are not even 10% close to countries like the USA or Morocco.” He added that, in his opinion, Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman are the only Nigerian players capable of walking into the starting XI of any top African national team, concluding that Nigeria still has a long way to go in football development.
