“Fake news” is the battle cry of the proudly ignorant.
The same folks yelling it are sitting in double-wide trailers, scrolling Facebook on a phone paid for by a government subsidy, while collecting Medicaid they don’t even recognize because their state slapped a fancy name on it—“PatriotCare FreedomGold Plus” or some shit.
Meanwhile, they swear Biden is hiding immigrant armies under their mattress and Obama was sent by the Muslim Brotherhood to steal their lawnmower.
These are the Red Hat people who couldn’t pass a U.S. citizenship test if it came with pictures and a bag of pork rinds—but they’re out here trying to “save America” from facts, books, and brown people.
They aren't oppressed, they're just loud, lost, and one YouTube video away from declaring their truck a sovereign nation.
“Fake news” isn’t an argument.
It’s a confession:
“I don’t understand it, I can’t debate it, so I’ll dismiss it.”
And somehow, that ignorance became patriotism.
