@enyola @ronaldnzimora @JAMBHQ Wow ! Part of the reasons I don't feel the presence of racism in the world is because I'm Nigerian. If you've been discriminated against in your own country, then you'll be grateful when you're given half a cup in a different country. Maybe we are the scum of the earth.

Dear Mr. @PeterObi , I have one question for you sir; why did you leave the Labour Party (LP)? I won’t ask why you left APGA and PDP. Serious politicians bleed for their parties. They don’t run to another party each time they lost an election. This is the secret of the people that built APC. Love APC or hate it, it did not emerge overnight as a dominant party. It was built through years of coalition, sacrifice, internal negotiation, and grassroots commitment. Many individuals invested in it long before it became electorally rewarding. Some remain without appointments to this day, yet they continue to contribute to its structure and growth. Mr. Peter, your behavior worries me and only further strengthen my assumption that you are not ready to build a new Nigeria, you are only interested in what to gain from it.

Factional Noise, Ill-Advised Strategy: The ADC Protest. Let us be clear: the right to protest is not a license for political opportunism, nor is it a tool for blackmailing institutions into surrender. Those now shouting the loudest under the banner of grievance are, in many cases, recent converts, political migrants who only just arrived, yet already demand to harvest where they neither sowed nor invested. This is the contradiction at the heart of the current noise from elements within the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Having plied their trade across multiple parties, often with little regard for institutional stability, they now seek to strong-arm the system into granting them legitimacy that their own processes and in some cases, the courts have yet to validate. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is not a clearing house for political desperation. It is not obligated to bend to street pressure, media theatrics, or the manufactured outrage of actors attempting to bypass due process. Where party constitutions are in dispute and matters are before the courts, INEC has a duty to stand down not cave in. What we are witnessing is not principled dissent; it is calculated pressure. A familiar cast of recycled politicians, long accustomed to gaming weak structures, now testing whether they can once again bend the system to their will. But this is precisely the behavior a serious democracy must reject. No country with any regard for institutional integrity allows a handful of itinerant political actors however loud to destabilize its processes. You do not reward indiscipline with recognition. You do not resolve internal incoherence through external intimidation. And you certainly do not permit those who ignored the rules yesterday to dictate outcomes today. If there are grievances, the path is clear: follow your party’s constitution, submit to the courts, and earn legitimacy through process not protest. Anything else is not democracy; it is opportunism dressed up as agitation. The line must hold. Institutions must not blink. And those who seek shortcuts must be prepared to confront the consequences of their own choices. Otunba Segun Showunmi The Alternative.

The ADC Titanic is steaming toward the iceberg, and instead of stepping away while there is still time, many are rushing aboard eager to share in what is clearly an avoidable wreck. Some of these are not amateurs. They are seasoned, even brilliant politicians, choosing against better judgment to tie their fortunes to a vessel already listing under the weight of its own contradictions. At some point, courage must give way to honesty. If you insist on boarding, then be prepared to accept the consequences that follow. Political choices, like all others, carry their own fate. And for those of us who once held you in high regard, there is only the quiet task of accepting what is now plainly a self-inflicted political demise. Otunba Segun Showunmi The Alternative.

So, the survival of our democracy is now anchored on the recognition of one faction of one of the 21 registered political parties we have in this country? The same faction, even when recognised, could not win a single Council seat in the just-concluded FCT election? Democracy now means their own logic in the media space MUST be accepted and our judiciary processes ignored? These fellows think they can blackmail everyone to do their bidding AT ALL COST. Unfortunately for them, Nigerians are not so gullible.

The day news of General Sani Abacha’s death broke, the entire country jubilated. Beyond his death in 1998, 🇳🇬 emerged from its dystopian era. The fear of mentioning his name in an Elelenwo beer parlor in port harcourt was a conscious feeling. Do your politics, but be sincere.🙏🏾

@mindshiftorg You are right - the citizens of Abu Dhabi are Emirati and have equal rights with Emirati from Dubai. Lagos should actually be carved out as a separate country in order to have separate indigeneship rights. Unfortunately, it can't happen when Lagos is part of Nigeria.

Lagos is gradually becoming New York and its heartbreaking. I knew lagos when lagos was lagos. Now its becoming a pack of trash because the people living in it dont love it because its not theirs. They use it like they have nothing to loose. I feel bad for the indigenes, in less than 20 years, they won't have a place called home any longer. I have seen what lack of access to your root does to people, and its not pleasant. There is something about knowing you have a base you can always go back to when things get tough out there. You wont know the worth of what you have until you loose it. I want a lagos like Dubai where indigenes are prioritized and every visitor in that city knows their place and respect the city. I genuinely wish well for awon omo eko gangan because at the end of the day they are our cousins.

@pastorpoju Baba, who has annoyed/betrayed you this time ? It is almost very easy to decode what you feel per time from your tweet... only a useless son befriends one that dishonours his father... but in church & politics terms, many people wrongly ascribe fatherhood to themselves.

If you hear or see a person throw stones behind your back into your father's house and you keep relating with such a person you will eventually get severely wounded through that relationship. Worse still, if the individual knows you are no longer ignorant of their true attitude and intent towards "your house," and you still keep the relationship, a serpent will eventually bite you. If you hear a person "curse" your own house, kindly withdraw from such a relationship before you reap what you never planned on.

Over the weekend, I joined George Moghalu, the Labour Party’s governorship candidate, at a town hall meeting and campaign in Nimo, Anambra Central Senatorial Zone. Together with the Obidient family, I fully support @MoghaluGeorge because his campaign manifesto places human development at the heart of governance. He is committed to strengthening security, advancing education, improving healthcare, and lifting our people out of poverty—at a time when the safety of lives and property, as well as the future of our children’s education, remain critical concerns. Above all, beyond competence, George Moghalu has consistently demonstrated capacity, compassion, and character—the essential values of true leadership. We are confident that under his guidance, Anambra will not only make progress but also achieve meaningful improvements in the human development index, securing a brighter and more dignified future for our people. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

That man is clearly looking for every way to rile up Nigerians ahead of 2027. One of my Egbons said it over the weekend and I now fully agree. ‘We are finished’ because the First Lady asked for support in completing the National Library in Abuja? Finished how? Were we finished when Oseloka’s partner was busy flaunting their affair to the whole world? A clear aberration of the Nigerian culture. Nigerians do not just get angry at every trivial matter. We only react to a just cause. This ‘we are finished’ narrative he is pushing is dead on arrival. The tactic of trying to ride on people’s anger to gather votes has already failed. The truth is this, only him and the gullible OBIdients are the ones truly finished.

Florida State law prohibits anyone who has stolen or laundered money from using it to purchase property, and international thief @GovWike bought the mansion in cash but claimed his "in-laws' purchased it for his wife and children. He's about to find out in a very hard way! Florida's Attorney General @AGJamesUthmeier must be made aware that money laundering and property trafficking crimes have occurred in his state, that several statutes in the State of Florida directly prohibit this criminal conduct, and Nigeria's FCT Minister @GOVWike is about to find out. Several statutes in the State of Florida directly prohibit what Florida State law prohibits anyone who has stolen or laundered money from using it to purchase property, and international thief @GovWike bought the mansion in cash while claiming his "in-laws" purchased it for his wife and children. has done, which is illegally concealing ownership of his Florida properties by placing them under the names of his children and wife, who is herself a public official (a Court of Appeal judge) in Nigeria. WIKE's crimes, among others, fall squarely under organizing or directing trafficking in stolen property, a first-degree felony under Florida Statute § 812.019, punishable by up to 30 years in prison. Nyesom Ezenwo WIKE, Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory Minister, illegally grabbed land in Abuja for his family, but he could never escape his $2 million illegally acquired mansion, which is a property trafficking crime in Florida, USA.
