The condition is usually the result of a fetal testosterone deficiency. He appeared on ITV's This Morning in January 2026 to discuss how the condition has affected his life and relationships. He said he won't do one night stands and struggles to use public bathrooms. His reason for going public was straightforward. He said if more people realised it was a medical condition from a young age, "they could be taken and seen by a doctor, and hopefully get treatment that would actually provide some level of help."
