The people who just killed an airline by blocking capitalism and free markets, also want to "fix" our healthcare and housing in the same way.

What an awfully long piece just whine about how all your friends are building families and no one has time to hit the bar with you anymore. A piece like this is an unfortunate but perfect example of an attitude that leads to the choice to be childless and declining birth rates. Babies (“those little assholes” as the author put it) are framed as burdens. And motherhood is reduced to the end to your happy hour dates.

Our friendship survived bad dates, illness, marriage, fights. Why can’t it survive your baby? "The friendship divide is not some dramatic breakup but a slow-rolling tectonic shift that neither side notices at first (especially the parents). The fissure often starts as an abstract fear of unknown agents of change (an emerging baby and an emerging parent) and the shared realization that two lives, which had been more or less plodding along a similar path, are about to diverge." Good morning. You are a miracle made of stardust crafted and perfected over eons of evolution. Return back to them anon. Conquer the entire galaxy. Let no bureaucrat hold you back.
