Crimea was Russian in 1953 because, under the cover of WWII, Stalin took a division of troops into Crimea in 1944. They had no shelter or food, and many of them starved to death. My grandfather was not put in a Camp because he owned a store, and was considered essential services. It is Putin who refuses to meet with Zelenskyy. Even Trump could not persuade Putin to talk to Zelenskyy. Putin is a war monger, not Ukraine. He is pushing for land that never belonged to Russia/USSR. Yes, the people speak Russia, after 350 years of Russia forbidding use of Ukrainian and pushing Russian on the Ukrainian people. Zelenskyy is one of those people. He grew up speaking Russian, in eastern Ukraine. He learned Ukrainian later on, to be a proud Ukrainian. I am not pro-war! I am anti Russian genocide against Ukraine. Defending yourself from an outside aggressor like Russia is totally different than actively pushing war. I don’t want Russia to surrender, and there are no Ukrainians left- no culture or language, because Putin believes Ukraine and Ukrainian doesn’t exist, and they need to come back to the fold of mother Ruzzia!
