Researching my book on the Scotland national team, I discovered that the two players who shone as world-class and had their teammates and players coming up behind them in awe of their gifts were Jim Baxter and Denis Law. Law was undisputedly one of the greatest. RIP

I'm all for general pop culture "comic cons", but there tends to be a real dearth of actual comics at these events. Likewise, very few "just comic" events in Scotland these days, even back issue marts. I assume because there aren't all that many actual fans/collectors?
