FURY PLATINUM X HIGDON 18U: CLUB SOFTBALL Fury Platinum X Higdon 18U are the 2026 Champions of the Scenic City 25. Game Recaps June 18 – June 21, 2026 (8 wins 0 losses) June 21, 2026. Fury Platinum X Higdon 18U defeated Louisville Sluggers Huecker/Norwood 18U in the Championship Finals game of the Scenic City 25 Tournament by the score of 4-2. With the score tied 2-2 in the top of the seventh inning to determine the Scenic City 25 overall champion it was Fury Platinum X Higdon 18U that rose to the level that got them to the finals game by coming through in an elite level. Tied 2-2 in the top of the seventh inning Fury Platinum Higdon’s Reed Jackson hit a double to center field putting a runner on base. Sailor Presley then singled to center field which scored Reed Jackson for the go ahead run to take a 3-2 lead. Brooklyn Jones, who led all hitters in the game with 3 hits in 3 at bats, laced a single to center field which scored Sailor Presley for a 4-2 lead. Pitcher Harleigh Price came in to close the game in the bottom of the seventh inning by getting a strikeout and pop out on her own and another batter to pop out to secure the win 4-2. Jasmine Cole and Kinleigh Russell each powered to hit solo home runs in the win. Reed Jackson had 2 hits (double, single) and scored the go ahead run. Pitchers Kaylor West 4 innings and Avery Wilson 1 inning pitched a strong game contributing to the win. Louisville Sluggers Huecker/Norwood’s Layla Ogden hit a solo home run. Molly Hancock had 2 hits and 1 RBI. June 21, 2026. Fury Platinum X Higdon 18U defeated Team North Carolina Hinde 18U in the Final 4 of the Scenic City 25 Tournament by the score of 6-2. Down 2-1 to start the bottom of the sixth inning, Fury Platinum X Higdon’s Layna Ayala tied the game on a single which scored Chezney Whipker. Later in the same inning it was Reed Jackson who provided fireworks as she blasted a grand slam home run on a fly ball to left field that put them ahead in dynamic fashion 6-2. Pitcher Kaylor West who had 9 strikeouts in the game secured the win by pitching a stellar seventh inning for the win that sent the team to the championship finals game. Reed Jackson starred at bat on offense leading all batters in the game in total hits and RBIs as she had 2 hits (home run, double) and 4 RBIs. Chezney Whipker hit a solo home run, walked once, scored 2 runs and had 1 RBI. Layna Ayala had 1 hit and 1 RBI.
