I once heard about a player who learned entirely via solvers and couldn't grasp the concept of a "zero-bluff" range. He thought everyone had to have bluffs because the output said so. In the real world, some people just completely incapable in certain spots. If you can't read the human, the math won't save you.

I saw Hellmuth talking about his desire for WSOP to lower the number of bracelets given out per year. He obviously has his reasons but I’ve heard many other advocate for the same thing. But hard to imagine that will happen since they get to charge more rake for bracelet events and they also draw more players. If any get the axe it should surely be the online events. The ones in the states are especially silly imo, many are small buyins and small player pools. I’ve always thought they should have different levels of bracelets like silver and gold or even include a bronze or platinum. Doesn’t quite have the same ring as “gold bracelet” but I think many would be very happy to win any form of wsop bracelet right?

The industry is due for a paradigm shift in tourney start times. Starting a tourney at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and playing really late is rough. Almost no one likes it, pros and recs alike. Let's start tourneys at 10am. Finish at a reasonable time. If you bust early you can still have the evening free.

Another great thing about PLO is that you have to play well defensively. In raised pots there is so much contrast in high cards between the two ranges so one guy is often forced into a defensive position on flop. More extreme than no limit
