If the federal carbon tax is meant to force Cdns to change behaviour, it only works when there are options - like a subway. This federal tax makes life more expensive for families already struggling. The Fed Clean Fuel Standards will also cost us 3x the national avg w/ no rebate.

Ok, quick fact check. The NL gov had a price on pollution for years before the federal system. The cash went to their coffers, not to you via rebates. Our federal system only kicks in when provinces don't have a system that meets emission reduction standards.

Mom and dad , at the park today , dad ( Alex Faulkner ) spent 8 weeks in the hospital this summer but with great care at cath lab and grand falls - Windsor hospital he is back on his feet. No quit in him.

In 1969, Dorothy Wyatt was elected to St. John's City Council. In 1973, she was elected as mayor of the city, bringing about many changes. She served as mayor until 1981. She returned to council in 1985, serving until 2001.
