Headline fatigue is real. But confusing fatigue with resolution is the trade that gets you. Iran just rejected the ceasefire proposal AND the IRGC Navy said the strait "will not return to its previous state." That's not noise that's their stated position with 8PM deadline hours away. Markets going numb doesn't mean the risk disappeared. It means it's being mispriced.

There have been widespread reports about a potential "45-day ceasefire" in the Iran War over the last 12 hours. Just now, a US White House official was asked about the reports. The White House said the 45-day ceasefire is just "one of many ideas" being discussed and that President Trump "has not signed off on it." Iran has also just rejected requests for a potential ceasefire to temporarily reopen the Strait of Hormuz. At this point, markets are becoming numb to the headlines, with oil prices moving less than 3% amid all of those reports. We continue to believe that downside in equities is limited as headline fatigue is growing and dip buyers are eager to acquire quality names at a discount. Keep watching sentiment.

IRAN WAR DIARY, Day 37 Trump gave Iran until tonight, 8PM Eastern, to open the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran's answer: the strait "will not return to its previous state especially not for the U.S. and Israel." That's not a negotiating position. That's a door being welded shut. Overnight, Israel killed Maj. Gen. Majid Khademi, head of IRGC intelligence the second person to hold that role killed in less than a year. The day before, the IDF had already eliminated Mohammad Reza Ashrafi Kahi, the IRGC's chief of oil commerce in Tehran, who oversaw billions in annual revenue funding Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis. Two decapitation strikes in 48 hours. Total confirmed dead across the region now exceeds 3,400. In Iran alone, more than 1,900 killed by US-Israeli strikes since February 28. Lebanon: at least 1,400. Israel: 21. US military personnel: 13 killed in combat, two more from non-combat causes. Markets are pricing in everything at once. Brent crude opened above $110 a barrel this morning on supply disruption fears. Gold hit a record high of $5,608 earlier this year but has since dropped over 14% the largest weekly decline in more than 40 years as the war crushed hopes for Fed rate cuts and strengthened the dollar. Bitcoin is holding near $70,000, showing resilience most traditional assets haven't: it has actually gained roughly 7% since hostilities began on February 28, outperforming the S&P 500, gold, and silver over the same period. Iran and Oman are in active talks to negotiate a joint maritime protocol for Hormuz with Tehran insisting any reopening must be managed by Iran and Oman together, explicitly pushing back against US involvement. Meanwhile, Trump extended his own deadline to Tuesday night and is signaling cautious optimism about a deal even as Iran publicly dismisses every US proposal. The IRGC Navy said it is "finalizing a new order for the Persian Gulf." That phrase alone should stop every energy trader cold. Trump's last message to Tehran: "Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day." Iran's deputy foreign minister called that a threat to commit war crimes, citing the Geneva Conventions and warning of personal criminal liability before the ICC. Day 36 ended with a rescued F-15 pilot. Day 37 opens with two more dead Iranian generals, oil above $110, and a deadline that expires tonight. The Strait is still closed. The math doesn't change.

Exactly. And the market hasn't fully priced what that means yet. Every previous cycle had the Fed as a backstop. This one has oil at $110, a war with no exit, and a central bank that can't cut without feeding the inflation the war is already creating. The chart shows where we are. It doesn't show what happens when the old playbook stops working.

Every retired general on cable news, every sell-side analyst, every macro fund in Manhattan all trading the same three inputs: stale satellite imagery, unnamed Pentagon sources, and AIS shipping data. @citrini decided that wasn't good enough. They sent Analyst #3 to the Strait of Hormuz. Not to write a report from a hotel in Dubai. Actually there signed a document at an Omani checkpoint agreeing not to gather information, then immediately used the recording sunglasses the border agent missed in his bag. Talked his way onto a speedboat with no GPS, captained by a stranger he'd met three hours earlier. Rode 18 miles from the Iranian coast while Shahed drones flew overhead and IRGC patrol boats ran patterns below. Got intercepted. Detained. Phone confiscated. Made it back with one thing nobody else has: what the Strait actually looks like right now, on the ground, from the water. The punchline? The AIS data every oil trader is using is missing roughly half of what's actually transiting the strait on any given day. Markets are pricing a blockade. Reality is more nuanced and more dangerous. That's the information gap $110 oil is built on.

This is a routine overnight repo operation. The Fed lends cash, banks return it the next morning with interest. No new money is created. The balance sheet doesn't expand. It's a plumbing tool, not a policy shift. The printer isn't on. People just keep confusing the pipes for the press.

@r0ck3t23 The algorithm didn't kill human connection. It just revealed how weak it already was. If a cooking video from a stranger outcompeted your friend's wedding photos, the problem started before the algorithm picked a winner.

Dustin@r0ck3t23·
Mark Zuckerberg just described the death of human connection on the internet and no one flinched. One sentence. Fifteen years of erosion in twelve words. Mark Zuckerberg: “Social media started out as people primarily interacting with their friends. And now… at least half of the content is basically people interacting with creators.” You used to open your phone to see what your friends were doing. Now you open it to watch strangers. You did not choose this. The algorithm chose it for you. It tested your friends against optimized strangers. Your friends lost. Every time. A stranger with better lighting, better timing, and a better hook held your attention three seconds longer than someone who loves you. So the algorithm buried your best friend’s wedding photos under a cooking video from someone in Dubai you have never met. And you watched the cooking video. That was the first replacement. Friends for strangers. You barely noticed. The second one is already underway. If the algorithm already proved strangers outperform your real relationships, and AI can now build a stranger more engaging than any human alive, the math finishes itself. The AI does not have a bad week. It does not post something careless and lose the algorithm’s favor. It does not burn out. Every word calibrated. Every frame tuned. Every pause placed at the exact interval that keeps your thumb from moving. A human creator competing against that is carving stone tablets in a world that just built the printing press. The economics are not even close. A person needs rent, sleep, and motivation. The machine needs electricity. When the cost of generating perfect content hits zero, the feed fills with faces that do not exist. Voices that feel familiar. Opinions that mirror yours just enough to feel like trust. Personalities built from scratch to feel like someone you have known for years. You will not know when the switch happens. That is the point. The feed does not care whether the thing holding your attention has a pulse. It cares whether you stay. And a machine that knows your patterns better than you know yourself will always keep you longer than a person ever could. This is not a warning. Half of it already happened. You lost your friends to strangers and did not notice. You will lose the strangers to machines and call them friends. Somewhere in a different app, in a different tab, in a room you are sitting in right now, someone who actually knows you is living a moment you will never see. Not because they stopped sharing it. Because you stopped being where it was.

$300B in cash isn't a secret it's a decade-long pattern. Buffett had $150B before COVID, $130B before 2022. He always holds cash. The difference now is there's actually nowhere obvious to deploy it with oil at $110 and rates staying high. Patience isn't a prediction. It's just discipline.

@CryptoTice_ Worth watching, but Europe considering $ETH for settlement and Europe actually using it are very different things. The ECB has been "evaluating" digital infrastructure since 2020. Institutions move in decades, not headlines.

MASSIVE: 🇪🇺 ETHEREUM IS BEING CONSIDERED AS A SETTLEMENT LAYER FOR A EURO STABLECOIN. This isn’t a pilot or a sandbox test. It’s Europe evaluating real financial infrastructure. Why this matters: - Public blockchains are being assessed for sovereign-grade settlement - Transparency, uptime, and security are now policy considerations - Crypto rails are moving from markets → institutions → governments This isn’t about hype. It’s about who settles money in the future. Public blockchains just entered the sovereign conversation.

BREAKING: 🇮🇷🇺🇸 Iran says it is reviewing the ceasefire proposal sent by the U.S. A ceasefire plan put together by Pakistan had two stage deal: • Immediate ceasefire and reopening of the Strait of Hormuz • Final agreement within 15–20 days The proposal, referred to as the Islamabad Accord, includes nuclear curbs and sanctions relief as part of the final settlement. But Iran says: • It will not accept deadlines or pressure to make a decision. • It will not reopen the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for a temporary ceasefire.

Point 4 is the one nobody is talking about. Iran threatening OpenAI's $30B Stargate data center means the war has officially reached AI infrastructure. The Gulf was already the next major hub for hyperscaler compute buildout. 15 ships in 24 hours through Hormuz. Before the war that number was 140 per day. Oil at $115, up 71% in 36 days, and Iran just said the strait never goes back to normal. The market opening tomorrow is going to be interesting.

Four big statements from IRAN. 1) Iran has told mediators countries that the U.S. is NOT in a position to make any demands 2) Iran says "the Strait of Hormuz will never return to its former state, especially for US and Israel." 3) Only 15 ships passed through Strait of Hormuz with permission from Iran over past 24 hours. 4) Iran Threatens "Complete And Utter Annihilation" Of OpenAI's $30BN Stargate Data Center Middle East. Crude OIL hits $115 and is now up 71% in the last 36 days since the war started.

Scenario 2 just got harder. Iran's Revolutionary Guard said tonight that Hormuz will never return to its previous state, specifically for the US and Israel. That's not a negotiating position. That's a structural declaration. A small concession and another delay still leaves the IEA oil cliff arriving around April 19. The market isn't pricing a scenario where the deadline extends but the reserves run out anyway. Scenario 2 buys time. It doesn't buy enough of it.

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 Tomorrow is the deadline. Here are the scenarios... Trump said Tuesday is "Power Plant Day and Bridge Day." Iran said no deal. Something has to give. Here's what could actually happen: Scenario 1: Iran blinks. Tehran accepts some version of a ceasefire, perhaps reopening Hormuz partially or allowing monitored shipping. Trump declares victory. The most optimistic outcome but the least likely given U.S. intelligence says Iran believes it has the upper hand and doesn't trust Washington at all. Scenario 2: Trump finds a reason to delay again. He's already pushed this deadline multiple times. Iran offers a small concession, maybe more Pakistani tankers through Hormuz, and Trump takes it as a sign of progress. Both sides may even quietly agree on this. It buys time without either side losing face. Scenario 3: Trump declares victory and walks away. He already told aides he'd leave with Hormuz closed. He could frame the military damage as mission accomplished, claim the new regime is "more reasonable," and punt Hormuz to an international coalition. Iran keeps the Strait. Trump keeps the narrative. The world cleans up the mess. Scenario 4: Trump goes all in. He's threatened this repeatedly and delayed every time. But the rescue mission may have emboldened him. Former aides say his confidence in his own judgment has grown. If he strikes power plants, 85 million Iranians lose electricity. Iran's response would likely be the most devastating of the entire war: desalination plants, Bab el-Mandeb, every bridge on their published target list. A retired CENTCOM commander thinks pressure will eventually work. U.S. and allied intelligence say the opposite: the new Supreme Leader is harder line than his father, and the IRGC is gaining authority, not losing it. Over a month in, Trump is still asking the same question he asked on day one. Why haven't they just given in? Tomorrow we find out what happens when that question still has no answer. 🇺🇸 Press Sec. Leavitt confirms Trump's press conference tomorrow has been moved to the White House Briefing Room at 1 PM ET "due to popular demand from the press." Tomorrow could be the most significant press conference of the entire war. A Tuesday evening deadline on Iran's power grid is looming, two pilots were just rescued from behind enemy lines, and the Strait is still closed. Whatever Trump says at that podium sets the course for the next phase of this conflict...

It means Q1 2026 and Q2 2026 are red. Same as 2022 and 2018. In 2022 the cause was a Fed tightening cycle. In 2018 it was the post-ICO hangover. Both were endogenous crypto or macro events that eventually resolved. This time the cause is a physical blockade of 20% of global oil supply with no clear end date, a Fed moving toward hikes not cuts, and $BTC behaving like a Nasdaq proxy. The pattern is the same. The exit mechanism isn't

The 95-99% figure refers to all intercontinental traffic globally. The ~30% figure is specifically the share of Europe-Asia data that routes through Persian Gulf cables. Both numbers are right. They're measuring different things. Which means the risk isn't a global internet shutdown. It's a targeted latency and capacity crisis for Europe-Asia connectivity, on top of the oil shock. That's already happened once in 2024 when Houthi attacks severed three cables in the Red Sea.
