much is in limbo but important things remain only warrant signed by a judge grants entry to private residence. warrant should be slid under door to confirm it's proper. you have right to remain silent, to not answer questions. you have a right to lawyer and should ask for one.

They eliminated paper mail in MoDOC, and overdose deaths rose. These types of policies only harm people by cutting ties between communities in and out of prison. They don't reduce drug use or overdoses behind bars.

Jail should not be a death sentence. Our hearts break again as we learn of another death inside our City's deadly cage. We will not stand by while the state continues to kill, torture and abuse people detained in CJC.

This is the 2nd known death of 2024, following Katrina Kelley on 8/28. At least 16 and seemingly 17+ died in the St. Louis city jail since 2020 according to compilations by @MarkPedroli and another civil rights litigator. From 2009-19 at least 17 died in custody.
