More detainees have died in ICE custody in 2025 than ever before and they are on track to break that shameful record this year. Today at an @AppropsDems hearing, I told Trump officials: ICE should not get another PENNY from Congress.

Detention facilities are unsafe, inappropriate, and inadequate. Too few receive medical care and too many die in ICE detention. I joined @RepRashida and @RepChuyGarcia in the introduction of the Ban Warehouse Detention Act to prohibit DHS from using any warehouse for the purpose of detaining people. We must meet the moment and reject detention in all its forms.
