@floatingtraders @Jo_Marney @ejgallagherx But it's really not disrespectful. If you took a picture of a group of lads (or lasses, let's not be sexist) going to the darts or football in full fancy dress and posted online they'd love it, so why is it different here?
Can't recognise either properly, so still private.
English

@Jo_Marney @ejgallagherx Hi Jo. It's very disrespectful to take pictures of someone, post them online and mock them without their consent, it's just not British it's not acceptable.
All women no matter who deserves respect, pull yourself together peace be with you.
English

So you want to protect our women and children but you think it’s acceptable to take photos of random women on public transport? You’re a creep mate, an absolute creep.
Alastair Hilton@London_W4
On my way to the Unite the Kingdom March right now. Got my cameras and all set for a great day out.
English

@zaJPBarnard @SamaHoole So other animals that destroy areas to eat or live there are fine, but humans can't, because 1 is natural and 1 isn't?
How does that work exactly?
English

@SamaHoole The argument against keeping enough lifestock to feed 8 billion omnivores a carnivore diet is that doing so requires too much land, causing deforestation in areas where there are no natural lifestock grazing fields. This destroys habitat and species.
English

Activist: "You should replace your cattle with plant crops."
Farmer: "Such as?"
Activist: "Wheat."
Farmer: "Thirty-degree slope. The tractor would be in the hedge by lunchtime."
Activist: "Soy, then."
Farmer: "Soy likes hot summers and warm nights. This is Cumbria. The soy would sit in the rain for a month, sulk, and die confused."
Activist: "Quinoa."
Farmer: "Quinoa grows at altitude in the Andes on thin dry soil. My altitude's right. Everything else is wrong. The sheep next door would write a strongly worded letter."
Activist: "Lentils. Chickpeas."
Farmer: "Both Mediterranean. This field had eleven inches of rain in August. They'd drown standing up."
Activist: "Vegetables. Carrots."
Farmer: "Carrots need deep, sandy, stone-free soil. This is clay with rocks the size of footballs. The carrot would meet the rock, give up, and grow sideways out of spite."
Activist: "There must be something."
Farmer: "There is. It's grass. Grew here on its own. Asks for nothing. Feeds something that turns it into food. The field decided this long before I got here."

@chrisgutowski @SeddSezz @LindaA68147472 Bus fares were capped under the tories, at less than what labour capped them at, they went up 50% under labour 😂😂
English

@SeddSezz @LindaA68147472 His legacy is capping bus fares though!
English

A little bit about Andy Burnham...
He has repeatedly ignored Rochdale and Oldham rape gangs.
He wasted £100m+ on failed Clean Air Zone before U-turning.
He oversaw Greater Manchester Police collapse amid a crime surge.
He was Health Secretary during the Mid-Staffordshire NHS deaths scandal and cover-up between 2005-2008.
He claimed £17k expenses for a London flat within walking distance of Parliament.
He's just as bad as the rest of them, perhaps even worse...
I guess that’s why the pound tumbled upon news of his leadership bid.

English

@proveIT_appnow The road is closed, regardless of whether there's a billion people or 100 there, it was planned to close well in advance.
So the 2nd pictures fake regardless of whether the first one is.
English

@SternabR6 @steross769 @PolitlcsUK Right wing tend to try to reduce taxes, one of the many ways other countries do that is by using nationalised companies to subsidise it.
A smart country makes profit on their nationalised industries already, unlike here where everything is waste, waste, waste, red tape, waste.
English

@Freebizguide @steross769 @PolitlcsUK You should probably re-read what I said, I am not referring to any particular political party I am referring to the economic right wing. Nationalising industries is an economically left wing policy, I did not say right wing parties cannot support that.
English

@D_MQuail @LucyTCWife Even if that was everyone it's still probably 3 or 4k people there, which is a lot more than plenty of the support the rapists and murderers crowds normally get 😂
English

@LucyTCWife Tell you the whole carriage clapped as well aye??
🫵🤣
There was barely any fucker there.

English

My husband has just got back from London.
He said “it wasn’t just unite the kingdom, it was unite the world”
He said it was a great day all round and great fun. He said there were some great speeches and he didn’t witness any trouble.
He commented on how powerful and poignant @siobhan1437154 speech was. He said people were in tears.
Well done everyone involved, you rock 🏴 🇬🇧 ❤️❤️
English

@jamesifraser @narindertweets @gibbsy66 @UKLabour Every party has its scandals, anyone pretending, or not knowing, they don't shouldn't be allowed to vote.
I chose the party that havent consistently failed us every time they've been in power for decades and I wouldn't choose the other one that's done the same either.
English

@Freebizguide @narindertweets @gibbsy66 @UKLabour Nothing on the Farage scandal that won’t be reported. You are just doing what you are told
English

@SternabR6 @steross769 @PolitlcsUK That's actually exactly what you said, how is nationalisation not right wing? Just because a tory famously tore down nationalised companies previously it doesn't mean everyone on the right wanted it or agreed with it and it DEFINITELY doesn't mean they still agree with it now.
English

@TheJoPublic @LORDLJS @PolitlcsUK @POLITICOEurope @Keir_Starmer Believe it or not, that's the same with every royal and prime minister since cameras have been about. Its literally part of the job 😂
English

@LORDLJS @PolitlcsUK @POLITICOEurope @Keir_Starmer KC3 is going to have to work hard on that as there are plenty of the King and the Marxists Happy Family photos in existence…

English

🚨 NEW: Buckingham Palace has privately asked No 10 whether the King's Speech should go ahead tomorrow
One source: "The Palace view is ‘we do not want to be any part of this conversation - do not bring us into it'..."
[@POLITICOEurope]
English

@Russ4Northbrook @captainpouch11 @Nigel_Farage @YouGov Who is "they" exactly here? Getting him out is the thing the people want, not the party. They know that, we know that
The only reason its not happened is because starmer is a narcissist and will put him being in power over his parties best interests as he's proven multiple times
English

@captainpouch11 @Nigel_Farage @YouGov if they had any sense they'd keep him there! the tories would! and with all these rebels coming out it's going to be impossible for them to get anything done.
English

Westminster tried to tell you we had reached “peak Reform”.
Today @YouGov have us with a record lead after winning a second local election in a row.
Don’t underestimate us!
English

@Docuzor @DanielMcmorrow @PolitlcsUK Football managers get 5 year contracts, if they're shit, they get sacked. Why isn't there a way for the public to sack shit prime ministers?
English

@DanielMcmorrow @PolitlcsUK He got a 5yr mandate and you want him out after less than 2 years
What’s democratic about it?
English

@cliverwhite1 @SamCKx No, no it didn't. March was one of the driest on record. In fact, rain as a whole over the year was 10% down
Unlike the specific stats that have been pulled here (and coincidentally not shared by labour recently, as they were before) which conveniently leaves out the correlation
English

@Freebizguide @SamCKx So it didn’t rain every day last year between Jan- March ?
Was the weather 42% worse than the year before
Read your comment again and tell us all that if the same figures were posted by a reform government your comment would be the same !
English

It's staggering how much misinformation is spewed on social media by those brain-washed by the ultra-right/Reform propaganda machine.
Net migration has fallen from over 900,000 in 2023, to around 200,000 last year.
Small boat crossings were around 4700ish in Q1 this year, around half the Q1 2023 figure.
Despite these facts, I am seeing people literally seething, literally radicalised into openly and repeatedly sharing the myth that Labour are somehow responsible for an unpresendented and out of control immigration epidemic.
People will vote because of this. They will literally put into power the people responsible for manipulating them and lying to them. And those politicians will screw them, just like they did with Brexit. They will make them poorer, and angrier, and keep finding more minorities to blame for it all.
The saddest part, I think it's gone so far that there's almost nothing we can do about it.
English

@cliverwhite1 @SamCKx Of course my comment would be the same. Unless something had been implemented to deter illegals coming, which couldve further lowered the numbers.
There were multiple weeks where Labour claimed 0 illegals came over. Coincidentally with ridiculous wind speeds or storms forecast..
English

@jamesifraser @narindertweets @gibbsy66 @UKLabour Ah yes, labour the party known for their honesty and never having a scandal...
Not like there's not a huge one ONGOING at the moment 😂😂
English

@narindertweets @gibbsy66 @UKLabour I’ve always said that Labour don’t know how to fight against unscrupulous opposition. It’s a poodle against a crocodile
English

@SternabR6 @steross769 @PolitlcsUK Nationalisation isn't necessarily a bad thing from an economic standpoint, or even something people on the right are against.
The thing right wingers don't like about nationalisation is the fact it generally costs the taxpayer, rather than generating a profit and reducing it.
English

@steross769 @PolitlcsUK If you supporting nationalisation of industries over the free market you are not on the economic right wing
English

@Millyhog136068 @GW020187 @Keir_Starmer How os Starmer providing stability? Unemployment has gone up, illegal immigrants coming in higher numbers, let's not forget that unemployment will go up more with this minimum wage increase, plus countless small businesses shutting down...
English

@GW020187 @Keir_Starmer I didn’t vote Labour but we do need stability
English

We must respond to the message that voters have sent us and break with the status quo once and for all.
We must confront the big challenges the public face with real answers.
That is how we will deliver the change that people are desperate for and build a stronger and fairer country.

English

@james_jack63 @Solosphere01 @ZackPolanski Erm... if you have a full-time job you'll be accepted for a 100k mortgage.
The asset managers you're speaking of are the ones selling up because there's no profit to be made on them 😂
English

@Freebizguide @Solosphere01 @ZackPolanski Except noone will get accepted for the mortgages / have the savings set aside for it and all the houses will be bought up by asset managers
English

More u-turns, prevarication and caving into developers from Labour.
The Greens are clear. No more leaseholds. Bring in rent controls.
Vote Green on 7th May.
BBC Politics@BBCPolitics
We can't abolish leasehold outright, minister says bbc.in/4w0VK6E
English

@AlexTaylorNews So a list of countries that are bordering 3rd world so they can leech off of the couple of productive countries in the EU...
If anything this just solidifies why it was a good reason to leave.
English

@TobiasByfield @julu46813 @Bagggerz You know what your local candidates are saying they are going to do is irrelevant, they will listen to what the party want to do nationally and do that, as every party always does.
Them spouting lies for a few brownie points doesn't change that and that goes for every party...
English

@julu46813 @Bagggerz I am standing in my town at the upcoming local elections. In defence of my opponents and those who choose to vote for them, the Green candidates here certainly aren't campaigning on a policy of open borders.
English

This is actually unbelievable. Here, Zia Yusuf (Reform's 'Shadow Home Secretary') is effectively *threatening* voters by saying they will place migrant detention centres in their constituencies if they don't vote in a Reform MP or a Reform Council.
This is absolutely disgusting.
