RIP Dame Jenni Murray. At the very centre of Woman’s Hour for more than 30 years, you became an icon. Time to put your feet up. Sweet dreams Jenni!

@BasilTheGreat If i receive a £1,000 in welfare and spend it, I haven't "contributed" anything to the economy. In fact, I've damaged it by being a drain on the productive.

Amazing self own from Naz Shah She claims Muslims contribute £70 Billion to the UK economy each year The UK economy is approx. £2.56 Trillion per year That's just 2.7%, yet Muslims make up 7% of the population Proving they are in fact a drain on our society
Naz Shah MP@NazShahBfd

Dear British Muslims, Tomorrow is Eid. Research shows Ramadan spending boosts the economy by £1.3bn, on top of an annual contribution of £70bn. I'm sure you want to celebrate - but spend too much, grow the economy a little too fast, and it might be seen as "dominating" 😳😬

@NickDixon It's so sad future generations will never experience the innocent pleasure of shouting out "Chelsea Rent Boys" at a game. Just another thing they took from us.

Can’t believe I’ve gone from an entire Hope Not Hate hit piece dedicated to me, to not even a mention in their annual Hate Awards 😢 Sorry everyone. I can only promise to get a lot more racist this year. I thought I was at maximum already, but one can always give a bit more 🙏

🚨Tomorrow at 8:30am I will be revealing on X a truly shocking scandal about the barmaid at my local with the incredibly jiggly upper works. It’s appalling.

RIP Neil Sedaka. A giant and ever-present of the music scene across six decades, as both writer and performer. Breaking up is hard to do, you sang. Isn’t it just. The world seems a little Sedaka tonight. Sweet dreams Neil.

@mattwridley @ret_ward I think this discussion always misses the point. Even if sold on open market, it is still a highly value added commodity which will create a great deal of value (wages, taxes, profit) in the UK, unlike value destroying "green" energy or energy obtained from foreign sources.

He does not know that gas prices vary from region to region, unlike oil prices, because of the cost of liquefying & transporting it? Shale gas from the UK could be far cheaper than imported gas. When ignorance gets to $40 a litre, I want the drilling rights to @ret_ward's head.
Bob Ward@ret_ward

Duh! @toadmeister clearly does not understand how the European gas market works. North Sea gas is sold at the market price and not at a discount to the UK.
