This weekend, construction began on an unauthorised traveller site in Willows Green in my constituency, timed to exploit the gap in enforcement over the bank holiday. There is already fencing and groundworks and work has gone on until late into the night. This is a deliberate tactic and it is happening across the country. The current system is not working. I have written to the Housing Secretary, demanding answers and calling on the Government to adopt the @conservatives five-point plan to fix the enforcement framework once and for all. This has to stop. I have also written to Uttlesford District Council and Essex Police about this.

Some of the country is awake and only some are just starting to open their eyes. Once they see information that places doubt and they see the lies and hypocrisy of this government they will know we were right. People are more outraged by having less money then they are by child rape. Many children are being raped in this country by migrants and it's being hidden.

THIS IS HORIFFIC Brave mum Lucy Godley fought for justice after years of horrific abuse from her ex-partner Ben Siddle who has now been jailed for 23 years. Siddle, 27, subjected her to repeated beatings with steel cap boots while she was pregnant, strangulation, sexual assaults, suffocation with a towel and chemical burns from a diffuser. Lucy, 29, from Portsmouth, dropped to six stone, suffered CPTSD and chronic pain, but logged every incident and provided evidence to police. She said there were times she wanted to die to escape him but she kept fighting for herself and her children. Siddle was convicted of 10 counts including actual bodily harm, sexual assaults and witness intimidation. The judge called his behaviour abhorrent and imposed an indefinite sex offender register and restraining order.
