Not really the “final result” type of post.
Just something I enjoy in the process, when iterations slowly shape the work into something the client is genuinely happy with.
Got these messages recently, grateful for those moments where things are just… aligned.
@unrootdesign@iamjesse__ Mobile UA teams already have 15 dashboards open, they're not looking for #16 unless it tells them something the others can't. The real sell is "this replaces 3 of your current tools" not "this is prettier"
Audiencelab is built for one of the hardest design briefs in B2B.
Convince a mobile UA team, people who live in dashboards, that another dashboard is worth their time.
They almost pulled it off. Here's the teardown 🧵

Brought interactive elegance to a fragrance hero. Combined views into one scene where the product updates live across the switching carousel. Even the transparency of the glass is preserved. Attention to detail.
Design first = looks great, doesn't convert.
Copy first = converts, then you make it great.
Kintsugi had a page built for ecommerce buyers: logos, screenshots, "get started."
Then they pushed into SaaS: same page, approach, 3% conversion.
SaaS buyers don't buy like ecommerce buyers, they evaluate, compare, read... you can't just show logos and hope.
We rewrote the story before touching a single pixel: new copy structure, SaaS-focused evaluation content, dual CTAs.
Before → After:
Codex is my favorite coding app right now.
It's clean, but has everything I need to ship fast. It's also quite delightful to use and snappy, and shows enough context without overwhelming.
I was hesitant to try it because I don't like locking in with a single provider, and I was also really into working in the Terminal, and yet now I'm using it for 90%+ of my work.
Aerosound just got featured on @landbookgallery 🖤🎧
