"Vegan leather" is even worse for the environment than Leather. It is literally unrecyclable plastic. Leather is a byproduct of the beef industry. If we are going to keep eating beef, which we will, we should make use of the hides. It is extremely wasteful to do otherwise.

H&M green-washed its own ‘sustainable’ collection & produces 3 BILLION garments annually. Their insistence on being part of the sustainable fashion conversation is grotesque. Fashion media needs to put them on mute until they fundamentally redesign their business model
