Just wanted to clarify that the decision won't be officially signed off until the council meeting on the 28th July. We do hope that the decision about Chineham won't chance but as you can see by other tweets this evening it's still in the balance.

@LibraryCampaign @savinglibraries is campaigning against these closures and are lucky to have other like minded people to drive the campaign forward. It's been so disappointing the lack of support/involvement that the Basingstoke MP @maria_miller has given to this campaign.

The lack of support/involvement from @MariaMillerUK has been shocking and saddening for the local community.

In fact the @FriendsChineham organised an ambush at the library when she was on a private show around and forced her to comment. That photo belongs to FOCL Maria never intended to be confronted there.

We are still waiting for contact from @MariaMillerUK showing her support to the ongoing campaign. We've had contact from media and Councillors but not the Basingstoke MP!

That’s odd because back in Jan when consultation launched I made my support for libraries clear & public calling on residents to take part which they have in their thousands-the future of libraries is for @hantsconnect -I will continue to fight for the vital services they provide
