@realEstateTrent Not at all. I learned a lot in college, made great memories, didn’t get into massive debt, and it provided a foot in the door to a career that allowed me to early retire after 20 years working. Retired at 41, just 5 months ago. It paid off well for me.

@iamlandshark Ha! That sounds like how I plan to spend some of my early retirement, after some summer travel.

On this week’s podcast we interview @iamlandshark. He’s been saving and investing aggressively for years and recently announced his retirement. We talk about how he grew up, the concept of enough, the recent Marshall wildfires, early retirement plans, and much more. 🦈🎤

At 41 and 43, my husband and I are retiring early. We reached #fatFIRE by avoiding lifestyle inflation, living below our means, and investing the difference. We’re going to hang with our kids, pursue our hobbies and passions, and travel! Yah! #earlyretirement #retireearly

My 7th grader just beat me at scrabble and I was really trying. I’m quite proud! Hopefully someday she’ll beat me at the money game too, and I’ll again be proud!

I want to be a guest on more podcasts. I always have guests on mine, but rarely am I a guest on others. I’m setting a goal of 10 before the year is out. Anyone want to help out? 👀👀

@thewealthdad That is awesome! I started later in my 30s. It’s never too late, but it’s also awesome when it’s earlier!

Looking back on it, prioritizing my finances in my 20's was maybe the best decision of my life so far 6 months away from turning 30 (with a wife and 2 kids), I can't begin to describe how mentally freeing it is to know we won't have to worry about money for the rest of our lives

The best part about putting this book together? 🥇 I've learned so much from the other authors 🥇 "Surround yourself with smart people" - what great advice!

@APurpleLifeBlog Maybe you just like a little bit, and not a lot. All things in moderation! And I agree with you on the running front!

I'm sensing a pattern in my behavior👀: 🏃🏾‍♀️I enjoy running, but I don't want to run a marathon. 📚I love writing, but I don't want to write a book. ....Am I just afraid of commitment🤔🤷🏾‍♀️🤣?

@iamlandshark We have separate finances for this very reason.. but maybe over $1k? I tend to discuss every purchase with my spouse just as we talk a lot and we try to be each other’s accountability partners, but we don’t “clear” expenses with each other. Love the question though!
