@MasterLeytrx I don’t think Square really ties KH to any one platform, at least now that it is a multi-platform series. In 2018, they had trailers at both Xbox and and PlayStation for KH3. I would t be surprised if they just market KH4 wherever they can going forward.

Nintendo might actually have the marketing rights for KH now guys. They had the Melody of Memory reveal, KH Collection [I~III] reveal, and new KH4 trailer all at Nintendo Directs. Sora came to Smash and Nintendo ADOPTED HIM

Australian retail stores pre-order listings of the Kingdom Hearts collection are all stating that Kingdom Hearts 4 is a 2027 release. They all have the same written description so this wasn't just inserted by random store employee.

@Maxemldr By them releasing this trailer, I am taking it as a commitment to no more long term silence, and that the game is close enough that they want to talk about it, so at worst, this means they will acknowledge the game somewhat regularly going forward even if release isn’t “close”

By the way, the Kingdom Hearts 3 orchestra trailer in June 2017 also didn’t include a release window at the end. The release window wasn’t revealed until D23 two months later in August

@senny_mathis It definitely feels like they were trying to fill a content gap that I would assume the db2 stuff would fill prior to it becoming its own game. I think it is only exacerbated by the fact that the prologue sets up the stakes and then promptly take a sharp turn away from them

I think people are only moaning about Horizon act 1 because it feels weird to go back to first game pacing after the sheer insanity that was Daybreak 2 If Horizon came out after Daybreak 1 no one would care
