@FrogSuspicious @sarah_frags I truly don’t know what would cause it but it’s a surprising and valid statement that there are basically 0 females who are at the highest level in these games. See if it were physical sports we could cite that men are stronger or whatever but not in these cases

every time i see arguments about trans women in esports its like ppl actually unironically think that entire population demographics can change in like.... a few years. like i hate to break this to u but its going to be generations before we see women competing at the top level of esports at the same rate as men and it takes literally 5 seconds of critical thinking to realize why that is. these people debating whether or not women are genetically inferior in fucking esports are quite literally the ones actively holding them back from reaching the highest level, all under the guise of "protecting them" its disgusting

@Erk_Grr @sarah_frags its only very recently that its has become more normal for women to play games and less women has played video games since they were children. effects of harrasment, less experience and how fewer women that plays consistently/seriously then it makes sense that there are few pro.

@FrogSuspicious @sarah_frags There must be a reason. And I don’t believe that not a single breakthrough case exists. I don’t find the fact that woman face more insults and targeted attacks in voice chats and stuff to warrant such a discrepancy

@FrogSuspicious @sarah_frags Yes there are significantly fewer woman but even if we factor the less woman it’s still disproportionate. Valorant has 30+% but still made its own league for woman other side there wouldn’t be any (maybe 1 or 2?) in pro VAL. Overwatch has 20% females yet not a single female pro

@Erk_Grr @sarah_frags and i mean alot of this stuff is hard to know why it is this way for certain, like men for example are statically more likely to commit crimes but that is probably not because men are enherintly/biologically worse people yk but more likely social issues/parenting etc.

@Erk_Grr @sarah_frags i don't know much but there are quite a few sexsual assault stories and alot of misogyni in chess culture and women are often raised to be less competive then men but hopefully that will change with the times as more women are going into male dominated fields and vice versa

@Erk_Grr @sarah_frags in valorant you get harrased/people will troll alot and that will make you not want to play competively/seriously, and the few who do, gets even worse teatment + it might also be girls firsts shooter as most shooters are no marketed to women. but idk about the other games as much

@sarah_frags Do you think we will ever get woman at that level in any sizeable number? It seems men are just occupy the top skill of gaming. A game can be a 25-75% split of men to woman yet the top 1% will still be 95% men or more Why is that? Honest question

@Klansmen420 @p1nkempress_ @sarah_frags Yea so what? studies also show that women are better at teamwork, comunication, regulating emotions and multitasking and so on which are also advantages in most team games. Idk you can find all kinds of "studies" on the diffrences but i don't think it really matters...

@p1nkempress_ @sarah_frags okay we can get into nerd talk here but men on average have a faster response time to stimulation which indirectly gives them an advantage
