yes, and you can counter claim in this instance as well, which again, requires your personal info. Which again, in this instance will be made available to this individual who holds no actual copyright to this. I have fought copyrights on Youtube and have won every one of them. I do actually know what Im talking about. The problem here is that this individual is gaining access to info they shouldn't be privileged to if someone contests it! Also Some of them actually are, in certain cases, one I am familiar with, a private pedestal was made in a private world and the avatar was dmca'd by this very individual. This wasn't a public avi, this wasn't searchable, this person used a back door and still made a claim!

@FrostedFricks @Gerzybow People on youtube do this with FALSE dmca claims to try and bait a counter claim. That is decidedly not what is happening here. These are not false.

A lot of time has passed since the great 2025 avatar nuking of Rusk, Karin, Chocolat, and others in VRChat. Perhaps it's time we open up the conversation on what exactly happened, as well as discuss a certain license that may have a much larger impact on the VR and VTubing community than we think. @SharkgirlSammy @Gerzybow yes, however in this case, this could be again, used for phishing personal info without actually giving any of your own. You dont have to supply the documents unless it gets to a court level and this is what a lot of scammers do on youtube!

@FrostedFricks @Gerzybow You are very incorrect. Only the owner can send a DMCA claim, but the owner can send it through an authorized agent approved to contact the platform on their behalf. That is why it's always the other option other than 'owner' in a takedown form.

@FrostedFricks @Gerzybow Technically anyone that is authorised by the copyright owner can claim it on their behalf, if they are legally authorised as their agent or legal representative. This would include even if they volunter for it.
