There is also a world in which BYU loses to Texas Tech and isn't really penalized for it bc they only lost to one team all year (twice). And BYU stays as the buffer between Notre Dame and Miami.

College football bracket is wrong. Take the logos off, look at the wins and losses. Vandy should be in over Miami and ND. No disrespect to those programs but Vandys just done more this year. I’m kind of on team Texas as well, if you kick them out then why would a SEC or Big Ten team ever schedule each other in the regular season. No good for college football. Also cats are disgusting and my family tricked me yet again.

Expanding the playoff will not change the problem that the polls are facing The issue is they are hyper-fixated on records and losses without looking at how strong a schedule was or who has played the best Adding more teams won’t stop teams from scheduling as easy as possible

It's time for the Texas Longhorns to stop scheduling marquee nonconference matchups | Golden statesman.com/sports/columns… via @statesman

CFP chair Hunter Yurachek on Texas being on the wrong side of the bubble: "It's not that Texas lost to Ohio State — it is that Texas lost to Florida that's holding them back."

Get ready to see this happen all over the sport. If it’s only about how many wins ya have and not who you’re playing and where you’re playing you’re gonna see every AD make these same moves. Kiss meaningful non conference games in late August and early September goodbye. Cupcakes moving forward till teams get to conference play.
